Meet your friendly First Avenue Barista!

Say hello to Kat 👋

If you’ve stopped in on a Monday or Tuesday morning, there’s a good chance you’ve met Kat.

She’s the kind of barista who remembers your face, asks how you’re doing, and makes you feel like you’ve been coming here for years. For Kat, the best part of the job is seeing someone return after their first visit and getting to build those relationships over time.

Her go-to?
An oat milk lavender matcha or an oat milk cortado.

When she’s not behind the bar, she’s probably in the garden, walking her dog, or spending time with her family.

And if she could create her own drink?

The Kat Attack. An oat milk cortado with cinnamon and just a hint of our house-made banana syrup.

Meet your friendly First Avenue Barista!

Say hello to Laila 👋

If you’ve been in on a Monday, you’ve felt it. That energy that makes the start of the week feel…better.

Laila is one of those people who doesn’t just make coffee, she creates moments. The kind where you walk in for a drink and leave feeling seen.

Her go-to?
Brown sugar, honey iced cortado. Balanced, intentional, just like how she shows up behind bar.

When she’s not here, she’s probably running (Bloomsday ready), reading outside on a blanket, or chasing her next cup of coffee.

Ask her what she loves about Spokane and she’ll tell you this:

People here take the time to connect. Even when they’re in a rush. And that’s what makes this place different.

She’ll also tell you everything we do here is on purpose. Kindness isn’t extra. It’s the standard.

And if you ask her to describe First Avenue Coffee in three words? “Damn good coffee.”
