TLDR; Fresh crop Peru Rutas del Inca just landed, it’s delightful and you should drink some!

The world of coffee can be crazy at times, but we’re sticking to what we started– sustaining long-term relationships with producers of delicious organic coffee. Rutas is a wonderful example of that! We’ve been sourcing coffee from them for 10 years now.

Our aim is to build our commitment to a small group of producers as we grow. When opportunities like cold brew, instant, or sourcing coffee for our own decaf we often look to the long-term relationships we’ve built, like Rutas, to fill those needs. As time goes on, this commitment provides stability within our supply chain and guarantees deliciousness in your morning cup!

We’ve also seen by committing to relationships that fun micro lots like El Chasqui and the two others we’ll bring you this year that otherwise may never have made it to the menu.

All that to say, we’re staying committed and fresh crop coffees are on their way!

Back by popular demand is our single origin decaf! This year comes from a super exciting producer we’ve been buying coffee from for 10 years— Suke Quto. This natural processed heirloom variety was sent to our friends at Swiss Water to be decaffeinated preserving all the magic in the cup without the use of nasty chemicals!

The cup is jammy and sweet like blueberry jelly with a tangerine vibrance and a chocolatey finish. It’s so delicious, we’ve been ripping it in the afternoons for a sweet lil’ treat! Great on espresso in a cappuccino or a short americano and highly chuggable on any paper filter brew method. Snag a bag, do it now and you’ll thank us later.

Shop-to-shop ride kick off this Saturday 4/12! Party pace, all are welcome. Meet at the Tasting Room (423 E. Cleveland) planning to have wheels rolling at 9am to go eat all the pastries First Avenue Coffee!

Bike locks are highly encouraged. Ride equipped for any series of unfortunate events 🙃

We’ll be covering a little over 10 miles, rolling from RH to Peaceful Valley, catching the switchbacks back up to the Centennial, then cutting across the newly renovated Post street bridge to make our way to First Avenue. Our commute back we’ll hop on the trail cruising back through Gonzaga’s campus.
