The legendary Farmer Pete and his wife Babs have been tending 135 acres of beautiful land on Wadmalaw Island for the past 50 years.

Pete’s unwavering passion for supplying fresh food to the Lowcountry has anchored him in a way of life that many have been forced to let go, amidst the dominance of larger farms, corporate agriculture, labor issues, and of course - the most infamous, unrelenting, unreliable partner - Mother Nature.

There’s no better time than this moment to visit Ambrose. U-Pick strawberry season just kicked off and the berries are the best we’ve ever tasted.

Get out to the farm and pick your own, and find Ambrose strawberries on our menu as long as they last.
