If you've been looking for Blue Raspberry Blast cans, look no further than the Clover Café. 🍀 These cans have traveled from our shop to all over the country over the last year, and this week you can find them at the café.

Whether you're grabbing one to enjoy on site, for later on the river, or you want to stock up to take them on your next family road trip, the Clover Café crew is ready to serve you.

(The proceeds at the cafe will be used to offer Winneshiek County 4-H Scholarships, off-set direct expenses, and support the 4-H Youth Development County Extension Program.)

Here's to the next generation of farmers and all of the kids spending these ridiculously hot days and nights tending to their animals 🥵, displaying projects and helping on the farms that provide so much for so many of us.

July is here and so are the gnomes! Monster Cookie Bars have been overrun by the cutest Gnomes in town. These treats are even gluten-free, allowing so many of our customers a delicious option for any time of day. Pair it with a Banana Split Cold Brew to kick off your morning, or a Blue Razz Frost in the afternoon. The Peach Ring Mocktail is another perfect option to beat this week's heat wave 🥵

May we suggest you start with a trip to Mill Street? 🍉 Watermelon is a staple Summer flavor, but at Mill Street we love it all year round! It's what gives the Nordic Refresher it's sweet and tangy vibe. And a Watermelon Matcha? Mmmmm hmmmm. The perfect way to get some fruit and greens in our opinion. Enjoy it as is, give it a little stir to mix it all together, or add Watermelon Cold Foam to really sweeten the deal. Whichever way you choose, this favorite Summer flavor is calling your name!

If you haven't yet, it's time to meet Ace Hoefs! You may also recognize her as the Youth Director at Decorah Lutheran where she pours her heart into so many of the students she also gets to serve in the drive-thru.

She hails to us from Spring Grove where she loves dining at Fat Pat’s (and is taking on the self-given challenge to slowly make her way through everything on the menu.) Their gluten free items are "out of this world" and if you know Ace you know she keeps a very close eye on the GF items in the tri-state area, especially the...

STUFFED COOKIES! We always keep at 2-3 GF stuffed cookies on hand, as well as many other GF options. With a cookie or GF Mini Loaf in one hand she's sipping a Blue Lagoon in the other.

When she's not in the shop you'll find her outdoors running, hiking, or swimming with her kids, or inside creating INCREDIBLE pieces of pottery inspired by her experiences, travels, and God’s beautiful creation. (Check out a few of her pieces in this post)

Meet Sahara Morken! Coming to us from Mabel, Minnesota, she's a Sophomore at Gustavus where you will find her on the volleyball team later this fall. This also means we won't see a lot of her when school starts, but we do get to have her back holiday breaks!

Her favorite drink is the Blue Raspberry Blast (which you can also enjoy Sugar Free). And when you don't see her at Mill Street there's a good chance you may find her enjoying that square cut pizza at . New to us this Summer, help us welcome Sahara to the team! 🎉

Cheers to another year with all of you. 🎉

The start of my fourth year at Mill Street didn't look or feel like a milestone moment. In fact, I really didn't remember it was coming. And made it feel even more anti-climactic, is that I wasn't at the shop today, nor in Decorah. Instead I wrote this post at a park in Iowa City, Mill Street's cold brew in my travel mug and a Protein Puck beside my work station, sitting outside of the University of Iowa Dental Hospital as Carter (our oldest) went through 4 hours of appointments. (Don't worry, he ensured me he's got this, and I should wait outside...)

With all of the emotions at my fingertips (thanks to this day AND the bravery of my no-longer-a-little-kid-son), I took a few hours to reflect on the last three years, and I'm feeling incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the ability to step away and be with family without having to close the doors, because we have more than enough team members to fill the available slots and take on all of the responsibility that comes with me being away. I do not take it for granted that over half the team has been on board longer than I have, and countless new faces have eagerly joined the crew, spending their very early mornings and afternoons with all of you.

Grateful that they beg for the hours so much so that there isn't room for ME on the shop schedule. But fear not, my time away from the window has allowed movement on 4 incredible projects happening behind the scenes, just days away from being able to start sharing them with you.

And I'm grateful for all of the customers who takes the road-less-traveled to find us; whether they are passing through while visiting Decorah, or a familiar face who makes the seemingly daily visit to the shop.

Whether our moments in the drive thru are extremely brief (as we work to efficiently get you through the line), or we get a few extra moments to hear anything and everything you're willing to share, you are seen and valued and the reason this little drive-thru off the beaten path continues to make a big difference in so many lives, especially mine.

With that I raise my cold brew to CHEERS each and every one of you. Let's do it all over again.🎉

It's time we reintroduce you to the crew! The last year has had a few changes but a lot of consistency on our roster. We're going to work our way up in the lineup and start with our most recent hires in 2026. First up: James Henriquez!

He's the solo male on the team (bless him), and currently working his way through training on the headset, so when you hear his voice, give him a few extra seconds so he can make sure he's getting your order entered correctly.

When he's not working hard taking your order, you can find him enjoying two of our June Features: a Butterbeer and a Chicken Salad Sandwich (he'll pass on the craisins though). And when he's not at Mill Street you will find him training for football, wrestling & track, or perhaps you'll see him shopping at Fisk Farm & Home Supply (Just wait until you see what Mill Street loves about Fisk too!)

Fun fact, he's bilingual, so whether Spanish or English is your go-to, when he is on the headset you can order in whichever language is easiest for you.

Help us welcome him to the team via this post, and cheer him on in person next time you see him in the drive-thru.
