Anson is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5-9 pm and Friday and Saturday from 5-9:30 pm

Anson Restaurant server Leah Funderburk understands the art of fine dining.

She loves sharing exceptional Charleston cuisine with visitors from around the world, making every dining experience memorable. This veteran server is also a talented artist who graduated with honors from the Art Institute in Charleston in 2015 and brings 11 years of retail management experience to her position at the restaurant.

Leah enjoys the opportunity to share Anson’s acclaimed Lowcountry-inspired appetizers, entrees and desserts with guests nightly. She also appreciates the restaurant’s rich history and remarkable attention to detail.

“Anson preserves history not only in the building, but in the food and in the service,” she explains. “The quality of the service is important, and the ambiance here is always incredible.”

From fried green tomatoes to shrimp and grits, the Lowcountry-inspired cuisine at Anson Restaurant delights longtime server Jackson Hodges.

This Atlanta native joined the team at Anson after graduating from Georgia Southern University with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and managing a popular bar in midtown Atlanta. Jackson loves the food, the atmosphere and the emphasis on hospitality that make Anson an exceptional dining destination in downtown Charleston.

“Anson is a great place for visitors and locals alike,” he says. “It’s always been a warm, inviting restaurant with a family-style atmosphere that’s very special. It’s Southern food with the volume turned up.”
