SNEAK PEEK at one of 7 spirits we'll be tasting during The Americas Spirits Dinner on July 30.
Panamรก-Pacific 23-Year-Old Rumโa masterclass in Spanish-style rum making and an absolute dream for both rum purists and bourbon lovers.
THE HISTORY
Born from estate-grown sugarcane molasses in the San Carlos region of Panama, this spirit is distilled in historic copper Coffey column stills. It is then rested for three years in spent American oak bourbon barrels before being transferred to rye whiskey casks for its remaining 20-year maturation. No added colors, no artificial flavorsโjust two decades of pure, slow tropical aging.
TASTING NOTES
Nose: Rich cacao, toasted marshmallow, and dark cherry wood.Palate: Decadent layers of crรจme brรปlรฉe, vanilla bean, and baking spices.
Finish: Exceptionally long and warm with a buttery oak dryness from the rye casks.
A SHOW-STOPPER
Unlike many ultra-aged rums that rely on heavy sugar additives, Panamรก-Pacific 23-Year is entirely unadulterated. Its unique double-cask aging process Bridges the gap between tropical sweetness and the bold, spicy complexity of a fine American whiskey. It is complex, rare, and engineered to be savored.
Don't miss the chance to taste history in a glass.
