Jalebi is not something you plate. It is something you make in the moment.

The great Indian debate.

Veg Biryani or Veg Pulao?

Some say veg biryani does not exist.
Others defend it with passion.

At 1947 Eatery and Times of India, we believe the difference is simple.

If vegetables are cooked first and rice is added later, that is pulao.
If the rice and marinated vegetables are layered, sealed and cooked on dum with saffron and spices, that is biryani.

So we made ours the traditional way.

Layered.
Sealed.
Slow cooked.
