7/17/26 Pat had a kyphoplasty on 7/7 to repair the compression fracture on his L5 vertebrae. His back is much improved but there's still a lot of pain occasionally. Had a follow up visit to the doctor yesterday who believes the pain is mostly muscular now and can be helped with physical therapy, so back to that we go. We were also told not to lift anything over 20 pounds for at least 4 weeks. Anyway, our return will take a bit longer than we hoped. We're going to take the rest of July off and probably August as well, depending on how things go. We miss you all and will keep you posted! ❤🌭

Back injury update 7/8/26: Pat had a kyphoplasty done yesterday at St. Francis for the compression fracture to his L5 vertebrae. Pretty good result so far. Most of the intense pain is gone, hope the rest will lessen in time as well. Hope to return to work in a couple weeks but time will tell. We miss seeing and serving you all! Will keep you posted.

Pat finally got an MRI and it confirmed he has a compression fracture of the L5 vertebrae. The treatment is a kyphoplasty in which a balloon is injected into the compressed vertebrae and inflated to return it to it's normal size and bone cement is inserted to stabilize the fracture. We're scheduled for the procedure on June 29. Anyway, he's still in a lot of pain so we're not able to work any dates in June and the first week of July at least. So sorry, hate to miss some great events but we've got no choice. Miss you all, will keep you updated as things develop.

We can't participate this year due to Pat's injury but look at all the awesome vendors who will be there! Don't miss this amazing event!

We have a lot to offer in a more condensed, pet friendly, space this year!! Make a day out of it or just stop in for your favorite vendor and some food. Plenty of food options and vendors to explore!

The parking lot will be completely open this year, and the Party Bus will run every 15 minutes from the extended parking behind Botanica further down Museum Blvd/Sims Park dr. to just next to the entrance to the parking lot at Central Riverside Park

Fairy Finds start at Leaf & Stone Apothecary #43. Get your fairy card and once you find Fairies get your butterfly stickers. When your done stop back by the same tent and show us how much you have found for a prize!

Michael K. Davenport (paint a canvas that is provided), Petting Zoo (fun animals to spend time with), get moving with D.Rob Fitness or play a musical instrument with Riverside Family Music!

Handpan Dan - Daniel Baird will keep the vibe until 2:00 and then we will have a local 12-piece Jazz Band finish up the day!

In the center is Pat's L5 vertebrae looking a little squished. Might be the new injury he got before VegFest, maybe an old one he aggravated. Had to get this xray so insurance would cover an MRI next week to see things more clearly. Anyway, he's still in a lot of pain. Wheat Street needs to take another week off. Miss seeing you all!
