The owner of a longtime Henrico restaurant posted a “peek into the restaurant industry in 2021” on Facebook as food costs rise during a labor shortage.

🥩 Beef prices are up 47%
🐔 Chicken prices are up a minimum of 40% for breast and over 100% for wings
🍤 Shrimp went up 25% today and is probably just starting “the climb”
🐽 Pork is up 51%
🐠 Cod is up 30% with limited availability
🦀 crab meat is non existent and 50% higher if found.
🍅 canned tomatoes and sauce all increased.
💳 Credit Card usage and associated fees are up and 💵 is down
🛍 Paper products are up 20% or limited in earth friendly stock
