If you’re already excited about our second annual Community Heroes Day, we’ve got some news that’ll make you even happier!

The city of is graciously sponsoring a BOUNCE HOUSE for the event! They see and recognize all the hard work our first responders put in day in and day out, and wanted to contribute to the event celebrating them. We’re hoping this will draw in tons of kids and give them the opportunity to meet our policemen, firemen and EMTs.

Did you know we make all of the desserts, crackers, pepper jelly, espresso and cornbread for ? Every time you’re sipping on one of their Espresso Martinis, you’re enjoying our . Hand-pulled crackers, freshly baked cookies and cakes, our slap-ya-gramma cornbread and 4-pepper pepper jelly are all made with painstaking care and detail. We’re SO excited to announce our second annual COMMUNITY HEROES DAY!

📍: Slow Hand Bakehouse, 111 S. Greenwood St.
📆 : Saturday, August 1st
⏰ : 11am-1pm
🎟️ : FREE!

Last year we teamed up with , and and we’re doing it again this year to put on one last hoorah before the kids go back to school for the whole family to enjoy. You can expect to be able to explore first responder vehicles and get to meet officers and first responders. This is a chance to shake their hands, thank them for keeping our community safe and ask any questions you might have about being a police officer, an EMT or a fire fighter.

will be baking a lot of special treats for the event, our sister restaurant will be providing a hotdog bar with all the frills and there will be yard games, face painting, bubbles, side walk chalk and some fun surprises for the kids!

This is a free event for all ages, all we ask is that you come and show our community heroes just how much Wilson County appreciates them.
