Introducing the Cornerstone & Hearthstone Blends
I've been working on something.
At Column Coffee, I've always stood for single-origin coffee — letting the terroir of a specific farm and harvest speak for itself. But over the past few months, I've been roasting the Organic Honduras Pacavita at three different levels and experimenting with what happens when you stack them together.
The results were too good to keep behind the roaster.
Cornerstone — The foundation of your morning.
54% Light. 35% Medium. 11% Dark.
In masonry, the cornerstone is the first stone set in the foundation. Every other stone is squared to it. If it's true, the wall stands. If it's off, everything leans.
This blend opens with a fruity, chocolatey flavor, rounds out into peanut brittle-type sweetness , and finishes clean. It's the cup for first light — before the house wakes up, before the rush starts, before anything else demands your attention.
Hearthstone — The coffee that fills the room.
20% Light. 55% Medium. 25% Dark.
While the cornerstone holds the building up, the hearthstone is what makes you want to stay inside it. The hearth is where the warmth radiates from, where people naturally gather, where conversation outlasts the coffee.
Molten lava cake, roasted pecans, and wood-burning fireplace. Smooth, warm, deeply approachable. This is the blend you put on when people are over.
Both blends are now available in 12oz bags.
Same Pacavita beans. Just a different way of building the cup.
☕ Christ. Community. Coffee.
