In The Morning, When I Rise...

Psalmbird coffee began in 2015 at Freeland Family Farms growing out of our love for all things delicious and organic. What we do is search for the perfect raw coffee bean from farms all over the world. We spend a lot of time taste-testing and experimenting so that we can bring you the very best. We require any bean we carry to be organic. Why? Because coffee has amazing health benefits ( read about those here https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/270202.php) but only if it is not saturated in chemicals such as synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. And it is undeniable the smooth, rich taste that comes from organic beans will make you never want to taste another non-organic cup again. We purchase our beans (currently from Guatamala) and have them shipped in bulk. Once you make your order, we roast to your preference, flavor your beans if you prefer and either package them whole bean or grind them at a level conducive to your brewing method; so let us know whether you will be using a regular drip pot, K-cup, french press or the like. Why no website to just click through and purchase? Because this business to us comes both from our coffee love and from our love of getting to know our customers. We want to interact with you, we want to tailor your order to give you the maximum experience, because yes our coffee really is an experience, and we want you to be as satisfied and passionate about organics and coffee as we are. So you contact us, we roast and then either deliver or ship your order to bring you the most fresh experience you can have.

So who are we? We are a family of five who loves to take life by the reigns, live our lives for Christ, adventure the outdoors and just enjoy all of the art and beauty that each day brings. We love to experiment with food (watch our page for when we will be serving our sweets and iced coffee at events), micro-farm (bees, Back-To-Eden gardening, chickens and more), change the lives of kids with our day jobs, hike, read, travel and more.

The name Psalmbird came from one of our favorite songs altered because what is better than a song but a psalm. Our son struggled for quite a while with sensory issues, spectrum behaviors and health issues which launched us into a transformation of all things real-health related. Our love for organics and our love for fresh began with our three little psalmbird children and ultimately brought us into this coffee adventure.
