There is something ridiculously satisfying about flipping over a pan of sticky buns and finding THAT underneath. 🙌🏻

And yes… I may have gotten a little carried away with the pecans. I regret nothing. 😂

The Pumpkin Maple Pecan Sticky Bun experiment was officially a success. 🍁🎃

Now onto figuring out what else I can turn into a sticky bun… 👀

Okay, THIS experiment is absolutely making the menu. 🤤🍁

Meet the Pumpkin Maple Pecan Sticky Bun 🎃

Soft, pillowy pumpkin brioche rolled with brown sugar & warm fall spices, then baked upside down in a gooey brown sugar + pure maple syrup caramel with a ridiculous amount of pecans… because apparently I have no interest in being reasonable. 😂

No icing. No glaze. It absolutely does not need it.

Sticky. Gooey. Buttery. Maple-y. Pecan-packed. And everything I wanted it to be. 🙌🏻

R&D days are dangerous around here because sometimes an idea works way too well on the first try. 😅

Birthday weekend is wrapping up, which means it’s time for me to start planning the next AFK menu… and I want YOU to help me decide. 💙

The Reel is a little trip through some things I’ve made before, but you definitely aren’t limited to these!

Okayyyy… I have an idea 👀

I originally started looking for a small, affordable space to host an All Families Kitchen Tasting Party — a chance to come try a bunch of AFK products, discover some favorites, and maybe finally taste that thing you’ve been eyeing but haven’t committed to yet. 😂💙

But then I thought…

Why does it have to just be AFK?!

What if we got a bunch of our local small businesses together and made a whole evening out of it? 🙌🏻

Think local tasting + makers night — AFK bringing plenty of samples, other local food businesses bringing things to taste, local makers and small businesses setting up, people wandering around discovering what’s made right here in our area, meeting the people behind the businesses, and maybe doing a little shopping while they’re there.

Nothing huge or fancy. Just a fun, affordable, community-centered event supporting LOCAL. 💙

So before I get carried away and turn this into another one of my projects 😂 I need to know:

🏪 Local business owners/makers — would you be interested in participating?

🏠 And does anyone know of an affordable (or even free 👀) indoor space in the Dover-Foxcroft area that could accommodate something like this?

Social media will have you believing you’re not a “real business” unless your restocks are worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

But this is what starting small actually looks like.

Sometimes one week pays for the ingredients and packaging for the next. Sometimes the restock is only a handful of products. Sometimes you sell what you made, reinvest it, make a little more…and do it all over again.

And you know what?

That’s still a business.

A small restock is still a restock.
A small sale is still a sale.
A returning customer is still a returning customer.
Growth is still growth…even when it happens $5, $10 and $20 at a time.

I’m not starting with thousands of dollars of inventory. I’m building All Families Kitchen one bake, one sale, one restock and one week at a time.

And I’m learning to be proud of that, too. 💙

Small doesn’t mean unsuccessful. Sometimes small just means you’re at the beginning.
