FAVORITES FROM THE PANTRY

Think of this as our cottage kitchen shelf — the jars, tins, and little treats we’d wrap up and send to a friend.

You’ll find small-batch marshmallows, buttery cookies, wholesome granola, house-made jam, whole bean coffee, and rich hot cocoa mix.

For now, The Pantry is shipping only, with a limited number of items we know will travel well. Everything will be carefully packed and protected for the journey, and perishable treats like cookies will be sealed to arrive as fresh as possible.

This is a little new territory for us, so thank you for bearing with us as we learn what works best. We hope to slowly add more to The Pantry in the future and are so grateful to share a small piece of Whittle Bird with friends near and far. ♥️ https://wbbakeshop.com/the-pantry

✨ 2025: What a wild ride! ✨

At the beginning of the year, we were running a full restaurant in the heart of Maine—serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to incredible customers who felt more like family than anything else. Leaving that place was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever made, but being closer to family and getting to see them more often has been such a gift.

2025 also brought us one of life’s greatest joys: the arrival of our beautiful, healthy grandson, Jack 🤍 A reminder of what truly matters and why this season of life feels so meaningful.

As we close out the year in Myrtle Beach, SC, things are slowly settling down. We have our very own home, it’s finally starting to feel like home, and we’ve been building our businesses with renewed focus and intention. Yesterday, I baked for the first time outside of family—and it felt so good. Slow, intentional, and made with amazing ingredients, just the way I love to bake.

We’ve learned so much about ourselves from our time in Maine, and we’ll forever be grateful to everyone who was part of that journey. This may be our last post here, but you can still follow along with us at

It’s been a while since I’ve posted… and honestly, a while since I’ve baked. I guess you could say I’ve been on a little sabbatical. Life has taken us in such a different direction from our long bakery and coffee shop days—those noisy, chaotic, busy, stressful days I never thought I’d miss… and yet somehow, I do.

The stress is still here, just in a new form. A new place, new rhythms, new challenges. Traffic, sirens, people rushing everywhere. Starting a business here has been hard, and adapting to all these changes hasn’t been easy. But there are bright spots too—like getting to see our family more often and knowing we’re only three hours away if we ever need to jump in the car.

And of course… we miss Maine. Deeply. We miss the community, the calm, and all the wonderful relationships we built there.

Today I was feeling a bit down, so I did the one thing that has always grounded me—I put on my apron, grabbed my camera, and baked. It felt good… like a tiny piece of quiet in the middle of everything. I made a simple biscotti, one of my favorite small luxuries with a cup of espresso. Since Chris and I have been on a clean-eating meal plan for a couple of months (very little sugar!), this felt like an absolute treat. Crunchy biscotti dipped in rich, velvety espresso… pure perfection.

For a moment, the world felt still again.
Maybe I can handle anything after all. 😂

As many of you may have heard, there was a fire next door at Belly of the Beast BBQ. Thankfully, everyone is safe and the fire has been put out, but power was cut to both businesses as a precaution. We’re grateful to share that all weekend pastry orders already placed will be filled, but we’ve had to close ordering early and can’t accept any new orders at this time.

We’ll keep you posted about next week as we learn more. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors at Belly of the Beast BBQ. An event like this is always difficult, and it’s especially challenging for a small business. Thank you for your understanding and support!
