Last year, we started a new tradition at Carleton's Annual Cruisin' for a Cause!
When participants registered their vehicles, they had the opportunity to donate an additional $5 for a chance to have their car featured on the following year's official event T-shirt.
We're excited to announce that Bud Slone was our very first winner, and his beautiful Pro Street 1950 Studebaker Pickup is proudly featured on this year's T-shirt design!
But this truck is much more than an eye-catching hot rod—it's a piece of family history.
Bud shared this with us:
"I've owned the truck for 26 years. My children used to ride with me to car shows and cruises in their car seats whenever my wife, Dawn, wasn't with us. It has given our family so many great memories over the years. The truck was built by three generations—my father, my son, and myself all turned wrenches on it together. I'm hoping a fourth generation will own it someday. It's definitely part of the family."
The truck is a Pro Street 1950 Studebaker Pickup powered by a blown big-block Chevy, and it's a true testament to craftsmanship, dedication, and the memories that classic cars create.
