El Chilito was born as a casual approach to El Chile, a contemporary take on modern Tex-Mex dining located just a few blocks west on Manor Rd. Dubbed El Chile’s “little brother,” El Chilito, uses many of the same flavors, but in a more laid-back atmosphere with a whole lot of local charm. Hand-made planters enclose an outdoor patio dotted with brightly colored picnic tables and strings of carnival

lights that stay up year round. Our recipes are made from scratch in house, our ingredients are locally sourced (when possible) and our full espresso bar compliments our Tex-Mex and interior Mexican influences. We proudly serve Vital Farms eggs, El Milagro tortillas, Texas Coffee Traders, and Texas-raised beef. Our commitment to quality food and freshness has made El Chilito an epicenter of the Cherrywood community and a widely-recognized East Austin staple. We’ve even received a nod from the New York Times! After 9 years in business, we’re excited to announce the addition of 2 upcoming El Chilito locations along with a promise of more to come. Looks like the little brother has become the big guy!

🤠 The Carne Guisada is slow-braised chuck roll with roasted red bell pepper, poblano, tomato, onion, Jack cheese, and avocado. The kind of taco that makes you cancel your plans and order another one.

🌱 And if you’re going veggie, don’t sleep on the Veggie Taco — Swiss chard, sweet potato, corn, pepitas, and a smoky guajillo salsa that ties it all together. Taco or burrito. Either way, come hungry.
