"Thank you so much for another fabulous cake Jo, you knocked it out of the park!
Florence was delighted. We are so lucky to know someone so talented. I can't believe you made that puppy cake topper. Honestly, you are an artist!"

Nawwwww, that's the feedback I love to receive. I've been lucky enough to make quite a few cakes for Florence, and she always picks something fun and adorable for me to create!

HELP! AN EMERGENCY CAKE FOR GABE! 🎂

The baker of the original cake injured herself on the day and had to cancel at the last minute.

This cake was baked, filled, iced, a custom stencil made, AND decorated all within 8 hours! 😅 Something I definitely don’t recommend or guarantee, but on this occasion, it was possible!

Happy birthday, Gabe! I hope the rest of your day went off without a hitch! ❤️

AI - Let’s talk about it.

Whether you like it or not, Pandora’s box has been opened on AI, and it’s here with us for good now. As a small business owner, I’m open to using it for beneficial tasks that give me back real, human time with my family.

I’ve also softened on how I feel about you all using AI to send through inspo pics. Although AI can sometimes give you unrealistic expectations of what is actually achievable, it does help me quickly translate your vision as a customer.

Here’s an example. The first cake is what I created for this customer, and the second image was her AI vision.

You may see some of my posts being labelled as AI content in the future. This is because I edit my images in Canva, sometimes using the AI features. Why? Sometimes I’m taking photos very early in the morning, or at a venue in the evening, and the lighting is terrible. Sometimes I simply want to blur or tidy up my backdrop.

Rest assured, the photos of my work you see on my Facebook, Instagram and website are all things I have created with my own hands, and that will NEVER change.

Here’s hoping that, as humans, we can harness AI for good, use it as a tool rather than a replacement, and benefit from what it has to offer. ❤️
