It's been a while since I've properly introduced myself, and with many new faces here lately, I thought it was time!
Kia ora, I'm Jo.
I'm Kiwi born and raised, having grown up in Christchurch, as well as spending parts of my childhood in Australia and Nelson. I'm a mum of three amazing kids, and before running my own business, I managed restaurants and cafés. Hospitality has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, I started working in the industry at just 12 years old.
Outside of cakes, I love travelling, diving, creating things with my hands, trying new hobbies, being a mum, a salty marg, and tearing up the dance floor to 2000s hip hop.
I've been creating cakes in Christchurch for 14 years now, and what I love most about this job isn't just the cakes themselves, it's being part of people's special memories. I often think about how your cake becomes part of those moments, photographed on your wedding day, captured at a birthday celebration, or printed forever in a family album.
It is such a privilege to play a small role in some of life's biggest milestones, and I'm incredibly grateful for every order, recommendation, and kind message over the years.
