Hīkoi mō te Reo Māori is happening this Friday 18 September in Ōtautahi 📣

📍departing from the Park of Remembrance at 11.30am

Come together with whānau, friends, and communities from across the rohe to celebrate and uplift te reo Māori through a hīkoi filled with kōrero, waiata, and a united voice for te reo.

Guided by this year's theme, "Ake, ake, ake - A Forever Language," we come together to affirm that te reo Māori is a living language to be spoken, cherished, and carried forward for generations to come.

Kia ora e te whaanau - “kua hinga te tootara i te wao nui a Taane”.
We have lost a precious taonga in our whaanau, and will need to postpone our Reo Maaori Hokohoko Day at The Tannery, due to Tangihanga.
I know we have your support - if you could share with your Ōtautahi peeps so word gets out that we’ve had to postpone this, we would appreciate that.
