Seven years.
Seven years of challenging an industry that has become comfortable with confusing environmental claims.
During that time we’ve invested countless hours and resources developing packaging alternatives that challenge what has become accepted as “normal” in the market.
And now that these conversations are gaining momentum, some of the biggest players in the industry seem more interested in attacking the conversation than having it.
The image on the left contains a PLA lining and may also rely on PFAS chemistry to achieve grease and moisture resistance.
The image on the right represents the type of innovation we’ve spent years bringing to New Zealand — solutions designed without plastic linings and without intentionally added PFAS.
This post isn’t about attacking competitors.
It’s about asking a simple question:
Should consumers be given clear and transparent information about what products are actually made from?
If a product contains PLA, consumers deserve to know.
If a product contains PFAS, consumers deserve to know.
If environmental claims are being made, consumers deserve to understand exactly what those claims mean.
We believe transparency should never be controversial.
Consumers deserve facts.
Businesses deserve honesty.
Environmental claims should be open to scrutiny, not protected from it.
As a 100% New Zealand owned and operated company, we’re proud to keep asking questions, challenging assumptions, and pushing for better solutions.
We’re not the biggest company in the market.
But we’re not afraid to stand up for transparency.
If you believe consumers deserve clear information about PLA, PFAS and environmental claims, please share this post.
Not for us.
For every Kiwi business willing to challenge the status quo.
For transparency.
For accountability.
For positive change.
