There is a cocktail bar and restaurant with an outside terrace with views of the town Salts – perfect for enjoying a drink and watching the world go by. Unusually for Rye, the hotel has a private car park which is charged at a daily rate. The Lookout is located at the top of Rye’s High Street, so in the heart of the town’s shops, bars, restaurants, and other attractions such as the 12th century church of St Mary’s and the Ypres Tower and Gun Gardens. Opening Hours

Breakfast – 8 to 10.30am | Restaurant (Saturday & Sunday) – Midday to 6pm |
Afternoon Tea daily – 12 to 5pm

“Sometimes you just need a night away… 🤍

No big plans, no packed itinerary. Just a little wander around Rye, a lovely hotel, good food, a few drinks and some time together.

We stayed at The Lookout Rye and spent 24 hours doing very little… which was exactly the point. 😂

Rye is practically on our doorstep, but somehow it still feels like a proper little escape.

Note to self: we should do this more often. 🤍”

LAURA LAWTON JAZZ TRIO

6PM – 8PM

With her very distinctive tone, Laura enjoys performing a wonderful mix of jazz standards recorded over the years by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Peggy Lee, Carmen McRae, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day, Etta James, Nina Simone and many more . Anything from ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, to latin jazz including ‘Girl From Ipanema’ and ‘Desafinado’, plus some beautiful, less widely recognised, jazz pieces.

Enjoy live music out on the terrace with the Terry Seabrook Trio, featuring Terry Seabrook on Piano, Nigel Thomas on bass and Joe Edwards on drums.
