Just a quick update for our local community❤️ —

Marco’s Mediterranean Kitchen has once again been awarded a 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating, following a sudden inspection carried out during live service.

This makes it our third consecutive 5-star rating, with no advisories or improvements required.
We know how important trust and consistency are when choosing where to eat locally, so we wanted to share the update.

Thank you to our team and to the Rye community for your continued support.

Meet Gabby!

The coffee queen, the chatty all-rounder & our curious new star 💚

One of the newer faces in the Marco’s family, but already an absolute natural. Gabby is fantastic at coffees, brilliant with customers, and somehow good at everything she puts her hand to.

She loves a chat, brings a calm, kind energy to the floor, and always wants to learn more about the job, the people, and the world. With a big trip to Japan coming up, her sense of curiosity definitely doesn’t stop at the restaurant doors.

Meet Lily!

The organiser of Marco’s, the storeroom queen & our social media star 💚

If you’ve ever wondered why everything at Marco’s has a place (and stays in that place), it’s because Lily has sprinkled her organisational magic everywhere. Clean, tidy, precise, the storeroom is genuinely the love of her life, and honestly… we respect it.

When she’s not keeping us all in line, Lily is the brains behind our social media. Planning, posting, filming and creating. She’s our unofficial social media queen, even while balancing university life and studying to become a teacher!

The creative eye of Marco’s, our glam girl and the sweetest waitress on the floor 💚

If you’ve admired anything pretty, festive or beautifully put together in our restaurant… chances are, Bessy made it happen. Funny, chatty and full of ideas, she brings charm and creativity into every corner of Marco’s.

Whether it’s Christmas windows, seasonal displays or any project that needs style and vision, she’s our go-to girl. Outside of work, you’ll find her dressed up, out with friends and looking effortlessly fabulous.

Meet Mary!

The voice, the vibe, and the unofficial megaphone of Marco’s 💚

If you’ve ever walked through our doors and been greeted by a chatty whirlwind of joy, you’ve met Mary. She’s super loud (in the best way), super extroverted, and can make friends with absolutely anyone, making them feel instantly at home.

Currently holding down the fort as manager while her sister is on maternity leave, she’s been part of the Marco’s family for 2 years, and we honestly don’t know what we’d do without her.

When they’re not cooking up Mediterranean magic, you’ll find them:

🍽️ Hunting down yummy food in London
🐶 Spoiling their dogs
👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 And spending every spare second with their girls
