Butterfly Blu is perched on a dune top with beautiful panoramic sea views making it one of the most idyllic restaurants in Knysna with beautiful food, an outdoor/indoor deck, lounge areas, cocktail bar, and a contemporary interior. Directly below the restaurant is beautiful stretch of white sandy beach and rolling dunes covered with lush fynbos for which this part of the world is so famous. Our philosophy is simple – to make your visit and dining experience as pleasurable as possible. We are passionate about what we do! With a commitment to sourcing the freshest produce seasonally, our chefs utilise locally-sourced ingredients across all areas of the continually evolving contemporary menu, to deliver a unique dining experience. Everything is made fresh in house under the watchful eye of chefs who have honed their skills for more than 25 years in various inspirational kitchens in Northern Europe. Suppliers are carefully selected based on their beliefs in sourcing/rearing, produce/animals, in a time-honoured natural way, free from chemicals and unnatural additives. When you visit you’ll notice our handcrafted Croatian pizza selection. The roots of Croatian cuisine date back to ancient times, with many families still using similar cooking methods today. We are extremely grateful to Josip and Kiki, our very dear friends from the small island Vis in the Adriatic Sea, who have shared with us the baking methods that they have been fine-tuning for decades. Our pizzas are prepared with love and baked in a pizza oven built by Josip himself to deliver crisp, light, wood-fired bases. In the bar we have a stellar team of proud mixologists serving an irresistible mix of cocktails inspired by the freshest produce at the time, as well as a broad range of South Africa’s favourite beers, and local artisanal coffee, perfect to enjoy in the Butterfly Blu lounge areas or restaurant. Wildroute Restaurant Group is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the management team at Butterfly Blu in Brenton-on-Sea.

We’re looking for a hands-on hospitality professional who is confident working in a busy restaurant environment and passionate about maintaining high service standards.

The successful candidate should have:
🔸 Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience
🔸 Strong leadership and staff-management skills
🔸 Good understanding of restaurant operations and service standards
🔸 Stock and beverage control experience
🔸 Strong attention to detail
🔸 Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
🔸 The ability to work closely with the Restaurant Manager and management team
