Our lovely Lynn from Urbanflock has completed this gorgeous work of art!

It took her 3 weeks to hand-knit this beautiful jersey with Rowan yarn - a wool & alpaca blend and knitted with circular needles. This is a size medium. It looks fabulous with pair of blue jeans and boots.

News from Acorn Square - We bid a fond farewell to Hello Gorgeous at the end of July. Annedine has made the decision to focus on her main branch at Knysna Mall where she offers a full range of beauty therapies. Over time, we came to realise that the vibrant sounds of conversation and laughter from a busy Cafe and Hair Studio were not condusive to the peace and tranquility required for the full offering of Hello Gorgeous services at Acorn Square. As such, she could not sustain a second branch in Belvidere on a full-time basis. As one of our original tenants at Acorn Square, we thank Annedine and her therapists for their valuable contribution to our business, their service to our community and we wish them all the very best!

Lynn and Jacqueline from Urbanflock will be expanding into the Hello Gorgeous space during August. We have some exciting new ideas to launch in this new space aimed at being more inclusive, interactive, social and of great value to the community.

Monica will incorpoate a nail offering into her Hair Studio over the next few months so that customers can continue to enjoy a combined hair and nails spoil at Acorn Square. Watch this space for new treatments and offerings coming soon at Monica's Hair Studio.

Our pizzas are back on the menu at Oak Leaf Cafe!

Made on Maillard's wood-fired sourdough pizza bases and served with a side of fresh chilli oil, we are now serving:

🍕Margherita - loaded with mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes & basil
🍕Rustica - loaded with mozzarella cheese, salami, olives, grilled mushrooms & red onion
🍕Sweet Heat - loaded with mozzarella cheese, chorizo sausage, hot honey & fresh rocket
🍕Autumn Glow - loaded with mozzarella cheese, roasted butternut, feta, caramelised onion, pesto, pumpkin seeds, balsamic glaze & fresh rocket.

Best enjoyed with a carafe of Gabrielskloof Chenin Blanc or their stunning red Bordeaux blend. Bon Apetit!

Jacqueline from Urbanflock hosted her first beginners crochet class at Oak Leaf Cafe last Wednesday morning.

We learned how to properly hold the yarn and the crochet hook, how to retain our tension and the the basics of chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, yarn colour changes and weaving in tails. Now, we must practice, practice, practice.

We make our pizzas using Maillard's sourdough wood-fired bases and serve them with a side of fresh chilli.
