Six years ago this morning, More quietly began.
I’ve been thinking about this gratitude post over the past few days, wondering what I would write this year. This year has passed so quickly. More is a little like a child in that way — don’t blink and suddenly they’ve changed and grown, and you can hardly remember what it was like before.
It’s all happening so fast, and I am so incredibly grateful.
I’m often *questioned* about changing More too quickly, about not simply letting it sit and be. But the truth is, there is so much about More that stays exactly the same.
Our values.
Our commitment to our community.
The joy we feel every day when we welcome our regulars through the door.
And knowing that perfection has never been what we’re striving for. Instead, it’s about every one of us who makes up More showing up every day, doing our very best, and being our most authentic selves.
That’s what I hope our legacy will be.
Six years in, More perhaps isn’t what I set out to create. There has been so much change, so much learning, and so much to embrace.
I often laugh that living — and staying — in Knysna was never the plan. This life, where I get to wear so many hats every single day, is not one I ever imagined for myself.
But the truth is, I am so grateful that **this is my life.**
And I’m incredibly thankful that so many of you choose to share your days with me.
The hugs. The laughs. The debates. The quiet conversations. The people who pop in for a coffee and somehow become part of the fabric of our lives.
I feel lucky. Every single day.
So thank you for another year of More. Thank you for being part of our story, for believing in what we’re building, and for giving me a life of abundance in ways I never knew I needed.
I love you all.
