🎄✨ Crafting Community! ✨🎄

Our Merch Queen Martha brought some adorable felt holiday crafts to WhirliDogs this weekend from Peacehaven Farm, an organization that works alongside folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ❤️

But there’s even more to this story! The Peacehaven team collaborates several times each semester with students from UNCG’s Communications and Community class, working together on their beautiful fiber arts.

We LOVE seeing organizations, students, and people with different abilities come together to create something special. What a wonderful example of the Power of Possibility! 💙

A Timeline of Possibility ❤️🌭

Sometimes you need to stop and look back to appreciate just how far you’ve come.

This beautiful timeline, designed by former WhirliDogs Board Member Brian Goodwin, tells the story of the WhirliDogs Café & Training Center—from the beginning of the dream in 2017 to our opening on World Down Syndrome Day, March 21, 2024.

And while this timeline tells our story, it really tells the story of a community coming together. Along the way, countless people, businesses, organizations, volunteers, donors, families, and friends said, “Yes, we believe in this.”

The timeline was beautifully printed and installed as an in-kind donation from Design Dimension Inc , another example of the generosity that has helped bring the Power of Possibility to life.

It now hangs in the hallway leading to our restrooms, where we hope guests will take a few minutes to walk through our history.

🎥 Take a look at our journey—and remember that WhirliDogs didn’t happen because of one person. It happened because a community believed in what was possible.

What a great time we had at Welcome Back Barton, sponsored by our friends at the Wilson Chamber of Commerce of Commerce! 🎉

WhirliDogs was excited to be part of welcoming Barton College students back to Wilson. Our volunteer teachers teammates Nate and Bronson represented us wonderfully!

Students had the chance to enter our drawing for WhirliDogs gift cards and free merchandise—and we’ll be pulling those lucky names today! 🎁🌭

We love opportunities like this to connect with our community, introduce students to WhirliDogs, and share what we’re all about.

Thanks to the Wilson Chamber for putting together such a great event. We’re already looking forward to the next one! ❤️
