it’s the most important celebration in american history to date... our 50th birthday! we opened on july 4th, 1976 and have been serving the d.c. community and beyond ever since. come celebrate with us today (yes, we’re open!) and save the date for our birthday party on october 24th. thank YOU for all your love and support for the last 50 years! 🩷

tomorrow, tomorrow, you’re only a day away... on july 4th, 1976, kramers first opened its doors in dupont circle as the city’s first bookstore-restaurant. 50 (!!!!) years later, we’re still here (and thriving) as independent bookstores continue make a remarkable comeback. toast with your favorite kramers cocktail to the next 50! ❤️
