Meet Chef Jose
Head Chef at The Perfect Pig – Seagrove ✨

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, Chef Jose moved to the United States in 1999 with a dream and a strong work ethic.

His journey at our Seagrove location began in 2009 when the building was home to La Botana, where he started as a dishwasher while also working construction and other jobs to support himself. As the restaurant evolved into Y Cayote, Jose stepped onto the cooking line, discovering a passion for the kitchen and beginning to develop the skills that would shape his career.

When The Perfect Pig opened its doors in 2012, owners Jeff and Vickie Miller recognized Jose’s dedication and potential. They encouraged him to continue cooking, despite the restaurant’s completely different cuisine, and took him under their wing. Through their mentorship, Vickie shared her recipes, techniques, and years of culinary knowledge, while Jose brought his own experience, determination, and heart to every dish.

Over the years, that mentorship grew into something much more—a family. Today, Jose credits Jeff and Vickie for helping him become the chef he is, while they credit him as one of the hardest-working chefs they’ve ever known.

Since becoming Head Chef, Jose has helped open all three Perfect Pig locations, mentors younger chefs throughout the restaurant group, and continues to be a familiar face that so many of our longtime guests come back to see.

For Chef Jose, cooking is more than preparing food—it’s his heart and soul. After more than a decade with The Perfect Pig, his passion remains as strong as ever, and he says he can’t imagine calling anywhere else home.

We’re honored to celebrate Chef Jose and grateful for everything he brings to The Perfect Pig family. ❤️🐷

Meet Chef Audrey
✨ Head Chef at The Perfect Pig
in WaterColor✨

Chef Audrey Ual, who was born and raised in the Philippines, earned her bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management with a major in Culinary Arts at one of the top culinary schools in the Philippines.

Her creativity in bringing life to an empty plate and stomach began at a very young age. Chef Audrey is very fond of making every dish her own through flavors and plating.

She started her career under Chef Michael O’Dowd, who is not only Michelin-trained but also built the first Native American restaurant to receive Five-Star Diamond status. Learning from Chef O’Dowd, Audrey was able to finely hone her skills and utilize them as she began to develop her career.

She spent three years working at Stinky’s Fish Camp as a sous chef, developing her skills further. In 2019, after her time at Stinky’s, Chef Audrey began working at The Perfect Pig, owned by the Miller family.

The Millers have given Audrey the freedom of creativity with menu items and private event menus. This freedom has allowed her to explore and learn more about herself as a chef.

Audrey finds pure joy in working with owner Vickie Miller, who values catering events as her “baby.” These events give Audrey the opportunity to bring out her creativity while also learning from Vickie, who shares her years of wisdom and knowledge of food and flavors with her.

Chef Audrey is looking forward to “speaking” to people’s hearts through their stomachs as she continues her journey as a chef!
