The Fiction Kitchen The Fiction Kitchen brings you the experience diners have been craving in downtown Raleigh: thoughtfully prepared vegan cuisine from a 100% vegan kitchen.

Creative and comforting food which is locally sourced and seasonally inspired, in an eclectic and ever-evolving atmosphere. Our 50 seat dining area consists of several small tables and 12 bar seats. We do not take reservations, with the exception of our Valentine's dinner, so parties are seated on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly encourage a heads up for parties between 6 and 8 people.

Our largest table accommodates a party of 8 so large parties are seated on a situational basis. Take out orders are available, except during peak business hours. Out of respect for our staff, our last seating is 15 minutes prior to close. The Fiction Kitchen is happy to offer the Triangle area affordable, fresh and delicious food and beverages which will appeal to vegans, vegetarians, and food-curious omnivores alike. Press:

Well, gosh darn our farmers are coming through for us this week!
We have special s and

The Farmers plate features NC cabbage that has been seared and braised served on some first of the season South Carolina sweet corn with seared marinated oyster mushroom skewers and finished with a delightful chimichurri 🌽🍄‍🟫

The soup is our vegan version of the classic French Vichyssoise with baby leeks and potatoes finished with thinly sliced red spring onion (served chilled)

The Locavore salad highlights shaved raw beets, purple daikon and red onions with toasted pistachios in an orange-spring onion vinaigrette 🫜

Y’all these specials are smokin’ good! And that creamed corn has no added sweetness but taste like my Aunt Norma’s corn pudding. All of these specials are unique to us and can’t be found anywhere else. Come get them while you can!

Come seat dance with us as you delight on this tasty riff on a BLT (as a salad): Spring mix, house smoked tofu bacon, grape tomatoes, red onions, shredded mozzarella and ranch dressing 🍅

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌷🌺🌸

We wholeheartedly thank everyone who decided to celebrate with us today at Sunday brunch.
Our special was a steak and grits plate. dry rubbed and seared steak served on our stone ground grits with grilled asparagus and a red eye gravy

Thank you to all the mothers out there who wear so many hats and do so many things for so many people.

Welcome to Mother’s Day weekend! We agree with that Mother’s should be celebrated every day! But we are excited you have decided to celebrate with us this weekend.

We are pretty packed all weekend, therefore there will be limited online take-out tonight and tomorrow, with no take-out available Sunday. Just so you can plan ahead.

We have this beautiful farmers plate tonight thanks to and other local farmers: Mock chicken tinga stuffed bell pepper finished with our pimento cheese served with savory black beans and cilantro green rice.

Our soup is thanks to and features South Carolina cantaloupe with fresh mint and a hint of rice vinegar finished with sea salt and olive oil.

We also have a dine in dessert special of our soon to be famous vanilla flan 🍮

We are locking in on some Sunday brunch specials and are so excited to have all of y’all as our guests this weekend.
