Looking for the perfect setting for your next special event? Our recently remodeled semi-private dining room, housed in the historic original diner space, offers an intimate setting for groups of up to 46 guests. (You can also reserve the iconic Double Horseshoe Counter to extend the capacity to 68.)

Our private dining experience features a curated family-style menu of Poole's greatest hits, a full beverage program, and a team dedicated to making your event exceptional. Available seven days a week, with flexible options to suit the style of your gathering.

Welcome back to the Double Horseshoe Counter! The original, iconic Poole’s Diner counter has re-opened!

The backstory: Last year we expanded the Poole’s footprint into the building next door. Simultaneously we temporarily closed the original counter, dining room, and kitchen, and began the project of giving some much needed attention to those interiors.)

We know you’ve missed the experience of sitting at the red counter stools; we’ve missed it too! But the wait is over, and today, the Double Horseshoe is back.

Here's the deal:
-Yes! You can make a reservation; select a "Counter" reservation online, or specify when calling.
-Yes! We are reserving some counter seats each night for walk-ins!
-Maximum party size for sitting at the Double Horseshoe is 4 guests, but we can accommodate larger reservations (up to 12 guests) in the Main Dining Room.
-Coming soon: our new private dining room, a cozy intimate seating area tucked back behind the Double Horseshoe Counter. Inquire at pooles [at] ac-restaurants.com to reserve.

What the heck is "slow shrimp?"

The name refers to the way we cook them to keep the shrimp tender: We start with raw shrimp and cold butter in a pan and bring them up over low heat, slowly, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted and the shrimp have cooked through.

It's then spooned over a "risotto" of Carolina Gold rice grit midlins with English peas and cherry tomatoes.
