Watch out for invitations for June 28th dinner coming your way soon!

The Eurasia Food Club is an off-the-radar secret supper club in Prescott - sporadic dinner parties at Eurasia in response to fine gourmands in search of singular food experiences. Call it an “anti-restaurant.” Chef Michel & Chef Dylon cook a meticulously considered menu for 20 to 24 guests, over which no one has a say. And, as such, we leave it up to you to put a price tag to the meal as to what you think it’s worth. This alternative dining scene is the toughest reservation in town. To get a seat, you’d have to wait to get invited. If you’d like to become a member of the EFC, you’d have to be a regular patron (regular enough for us to know you well and to know that you love our food) and/or sign up on www.eurasia.kitchen and tell us why you should be a member. Once you get into the Club, you get to be invited to future events and get to nominate other “gastronauts” or food geeks such as yourself. EFC will be holding secret dinners with a different group each time.

DAD’S DAY DIM SUM BANQUET AT EURASIA!

On Sunday, June 21, honor Dad and celebrate Father’s Day with a lively, communal feast featuring a wide array of bite-sized Cantonese dim sum delicacies, served family-style.

Dim sum is a centuries-old Chinese dining tradition of sharing bite-sized, small-plate dishes served alongside pots of tea. Literally translating to “touch the heart,” its appeal lies in the communal experience, the endless variety of flavors, and the sensory joy of freshly made delicacies.

The menu balances steamed classics, fried items, rolls, savory specialties and sweet finishes. Please note that THIS IS NOT A BUFFET but a 12-COURSE DIM SUM BANQUET served Family Style. By Reservation Only for 1pm and 5pm seatings. Only $38 per person.

Tomorrow’s Filipino Banquet at Eurasia will not just be a feast. The Filipino table is the most honest expression of Filipino communal spirit there is: no hierarchy, no distance, just family.

Every dish on a Filipino table carries a memory: the sinigang that tasted exactly like your grandma’s, the lechon that only comes out for the biggest celebrations, the kare-kare that takes all morning to make and disappears in minutes, the lumpia, adobo & pancit with hundreds of local variation. Filipino comfort food is not just cuisine. It turns any gathering into a fiesta, a declaration that today is worth celebrating.

As we celebrate together tomorrow, let us also remember to pray for the victims of the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Southern Philippines. As the Philippines marks Independence Day, more than 400,000 people have been affected, with tens of thousands displaced and many homes damaged. As of this writing, 47 lives have been lost.
