Eurasia Food Club members recently gathered to break bread and commune for an evening of Gothic Splendor, Victorian Elegance and Indulgent Feasting within the velvet-draped walls of Eurasia.

The candles are lit, the silver is polished, and the tables are set. By royal decree of Chef Michel, you are also hereby requested to grace Eurasia with your esteemed presence. On All Hallows’ Eve, Saturday, the thirty-first of October, at one o'clock in the afternoon or at five o’clock in the evening, we shall feast beneath the shroud of night, surrounded by dripping wax, velvet shadows, and the haunting melodies of yesteryear.

(Halloween costume not required but a $50 Gift Card awaits the Best in Costume! By Reservation Only for 1pm and 5pm seatings. Only $40 per person.)

For over a year and a half now, we have been feeding and praying over our town’s homeless and hungry every Friday at 3pm at our storefront. We have been told that we can’t do this anymore. That these people gathering for food and prayers in front of our restaurant have become an eyesore. An annoyance. Bad for neighboring businesses. Well, someone complained. And someone listened.

And so, we have since been gathering them at our restaurant back door at the side alley where there is pedestrian and vehicular traffic. And it has become increasingly challenging to pray and minister to people who need it in such a setting.

As such, we have been inspired to continue our Ministry through a Mobile Food Unit that can go to where they are, instead of them coming to us. But for this to happen, we will need your support. Ours is already a business struggling to keep our doors open amid this trying economy and against huge, fancier neighboring restaurants with deep pockets. Our food is good, if not among the best in town, so we’re told by many, many customers. Yet this profession of appreciation doesn’t manifest in actual, enough patrons coming through our doors regularly every night.

A lot of people lament the closing of restaurants on social media AFTER they have already closed. Few actually show up to support a business they love when it’s badly needed.

Yes, we have prioritized Ministry over Profit Margin, Giving over Gain. For this is the Lord’s business sense which does not align with the world’s business narrative. But we are merely stewards of this gift he has blessed us with for the good of the people that He sends to our doors for food and prayers. The people we feed and pray for are REAL people - with names and stories behind their struggles. They are not merely statistics, or eyesores we should ignore or walk past by. They are someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter. Above all, each one is a Child of God for whom He also gave up His life to save.

So if you like our food, and if you care to support our mission to continue our Hour of Mercy, Food & Prayers for the Hungry Ministry, please do SHOW UP.

MALAYSIAN CHICKEN SHRIMP LAKSA. A Malaysian Curry Soup with rice noodles, chicken & shrimp in a coconut curry broth that is mildly spicy, fragrant and warming. Chef Michel’s homemade laksa paste forms the base of this noodle dish, while coconut cream adds a velvety mouthfeel to the aromatic broth. Top it with fresh herbs & slurp away (gluten-free)!

Watch out for invitations being sent out for the next Eurasia Food Club dinner on October 25!

The Eurasia Food Club is an off-the-radar secret supper club in Prescott - sporadic dinner parties at Eurasia in response to fine gourmands in search of singular food experiences. Call it an “anti-restaurant.” Chef Michel cooks a meticulously considered menu for 20 to 24 guests, over which no one has a say. And, as such, we leave it up to you to put a price tag to the meal as to what you think it’s worth. This alternative dining scene is the toughest reservation in town. To get a seat, you’d have to wait to get invited. If you’d like to become a member of the EFC, you’d have to be a regular patron (regular enough for us to know you well and to know that you love our food) and/or sign up on our website and tell us why you should be a member. Once you get into the Club, you get to be invited to future events and get to nominate other “gastronauts” or food geeks such as yourself. EFC will be holding secret dinners with a different group each time.
