Thank you to everyone who came out this season especially the dedicated fans who waited in line in the scorching heat!
I am going to use this time to plan my schedule for the upcoming seasons and focus on initiatives to continue to grow.
For my Entrpreneurs:
I want to leave with just a few words of advice for small businesses who may be struggling. Focus on internal growth first before external growth. What I mean by this is to create cost savings (without compromising product/service quality), work on making yourself or teams more efficient with SOPs, KPIs, training, marketing strategies, financial mgmt., etc.
I am always analyzing my work to see what processes and tools will help me be better and faster so I can attract guest and provide them with the best experience so they will return. I am heavily engaged in the community and and industry research and most successful entrepreneurs will tell you to create a solid base/foundation before expanding. Many businesses fail because they grow too fast without a solid core. Think of Jenga...If you stack blocks with only one at the bottom it will not be as strong as if you had 3.
Also, your brand is vulnerable. You have to create the right exposure. That doesn't mean you have to go viral to be successful. It just means you have to be consistent in marketing and eventually the right people will follow. Also, you have to have proper form of conduct. I've seen too many businesses receive backlash on their product and services just because of their unprofessional conduct (This one is a huge pet peeve for me because I've worked with so many unprofessional people in the corporate world). You create your own critics. "I have "haters" because I made it" is a victim mentality. Your products and services may not be meant for some people and that's ok. A good leader will apologize, but a great leader will make it right and even turn some of those critics into fans. You can't always control what everyone will say or how they feel initially, but you can control how you react to change their prespective. Perception is reality.
Now, time to get ready for my baby girl:) Expected Aug 16th.
