🐚🌊Pismo Clamming Is Popular Again! Took some photos of people out clamming during an evening low tide along Pismo State Beach. The clouds and sun shinning on the wet sand made for some beautiful reflections!😍
If you're planning to go clamming, make sure you know the regulations. Fish & Wildlife takes it seriously and are always patrolling the beach discretely. Wardens often watch from the dunes and bluffs with binoculars, and they aren't shy about writing tickets.📝 If you're picking up clams, you'll most likely get caught. Just wanted to give you the rules so you're not one of the ones that get a ticket because you didn't know better. They'll even ticket the parents of kids who gather them. So tell your kids too.
📃Quick Pismo Clam Rules:
• California fishing license required (16+)
• Minimum size: 4.5 inches
• Daily limit: 10 clams per person
• Carry a measuring device
• Rebury undersized clams immediately
• Clamming allowed only from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset
