A little honesty from our corner of Ludlow Street. ❤️
For 18 years, (almost 19!!!) Tre has called the Lower East Side home.
We’ve watched this neighborhood grow and change. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, and reunions. We’ve watched strangers become friends, customers become regulars, and regulars become family.
And through all of it, we’ve been lucky enough to keep our doors open.
But lately, things have been hard.
Owning a small, independent restaurant in New York City has never been easy. The cost of everything keeps rising, and some nights, the tables that used to be filled with familiar faces sit empty.
It’s difficult to put into words what that feels like when you’ve spent nearly two decades building something you love.
Behind Tre is a small team of people who care deeply about this restaurant. People who show up, work hard, and put their hearts into making this little place feel like home.
We don’t have a big corporation behind us. We’re just a neighborhood Italian restaurant trying to make it in a city that seems to get a little harder to survive in every year.
And while we don’t often talk about the difficult parts, we think it’s important to be honest.
Small businesses need their communities. Not just when they’re new and exciting, but years later, when they’ve become part of the neighborhood.
So if you haven’t stopped by in a while, we’d really love to see you.
Come have a glass of w**e. Share some pasta. Bring someone you love. Make another memory with us.
Because every time you choose to spend an evening at a small neighborhood restaurant, you’re helping keep a little piece of New York alive.
18 years of memories, laughter, love, and a whole lot of pasta.
We’re hoping for many, many more.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story. ❤️
Love,
Your Tre Family 🍷
