Hello Everyone! 👋
We are Jennifer and Michael Burgen, and we are absolutely thrilled to introduce ourselves as the new owners and operators of Babette’s Kitchen! 🍋 Our goal is to proudly continue the incredible legacy that Beth and Buffy built over the last 22 years, honoring the standard of success and community they established.
For those who don’t know us yet, here is a little bit about our journey: We are both Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduates with a deep passion for great food and hospitality. Jennifer has been a familiar face at Babette’s for the last three years, and Michael joined the culinary team in the back for the past year and a half—all with the dream of one day owning this perfect little café. Owning a restaurant has always been Jennifer’s dream, and Michael, being the incredibly supportive husband he is, jumped right in to make it a reality together.
As we navigate this transition, there may be a few minor bumps along the way, so we truly appreciate your patience and support! Rest assured, everything you love about Babette’s is staying exactly the same. The coffee is still brewing, the muffins are just as delicious, and yes—Freestyle Sunday is absolutely still happening (for those who know! 😉).
