We are looking for a Shift Supervisor in Training for a hands-on leadership role designed to develop the right person into a long term position on our team.
This position is a working interview over time. Training typically takes 6–8 weeks while both you and our team evaluate whether Frydae is the right long-term fit. This position is not a “stand back and supervise” job, during your shift you will be responsible for leading your shift while actively working every position, being responsible for the flow, energy, and performance of the shift and setting the tone for both teamwork and customer experience.
Key Duties:
-Run shifts with 2–5 team members
-Execute all roles, including ice cream scooping shake making, cash register operations, order taking, fry station (loaded fries, sandwiches, hot dogs), and cleaning and upkeep
-Deliver fast, friendly, and attentive customer service
-Open/close the shop (once trained)
-Count drawers and run basic reports
-Receive and put away biweekly food orders
-Perform operational duties such as filtering the fryer
-Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and urgency

-A fast-paced, high-volume environment with intense rushes
-Shifts where you may be working with only one other person
-A role that requires multitasking, awareness, and strong communication

Schedule & Availability:
-Weekend availability is required (rotating Saturdays, Friday evenings, and aleast one Sunday shift)
-Opportunity for double shifts (open–close) for more hours and more days off
-Reliability is critical
Requirements:
-18+
-High school diploma or GED
-Reliable transportation
-Food service experience preferred (not required)
-Ability to lead peers with respect and accountability
