Not your typical Banana Con Hielo. 🍌✨

For the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra fundraiser, Chef Natalia Moran closed the evening with a playful take on a familiar Filipino dessert — sweetened bananas, turon, mochi, langka ice, and leche flan.

A little nostalgic, a little unexpected, and very Manila Inasal.

An evening of bayanihan. 🇵🇭🎻

Tonight, we had the honor of hosting the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra’s fundraising dinner at Manila Inasal.

Guests enjoyed a four-course menu curated by Chef Natalia Moran while coming together to support an organization that’s doing more than celebrating Filipino talent—it’s investing in the next generation of musicians, artists, and cultural leaders through education, mentorship, and performance.

Bayanihan has always been about lifting one another up. We’re grateful to have played a small part in an evening dedicated to that spirit.

Thank you to the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra for choosing Manila Inasal, and to everyone who joined us in supporting their mission. ❤️

Celebrating 6 years of SoCal Filipinos. 🇵🇭✨

This past weekend, we joined friends, creatives, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and food lovers from across Southern California to celebrate an organization that has spent the last six years bringing Filipinos together.

We were honored to be part of the evening, serving Manila Inasal favorites including our Filipino-inspired pizzas, longganisa burgers, and chicken inasal skewers.

Congratulations to the SoCal Filipinos team on six years of building community and creating space for Filipino culture to thrive. ❤️

Hidden within Manila Inasal is a collection of 18 original works by artist Ysabel.

Created during the pandemic, the series reflects the journey of a family navigating uncertainty, isolation, resilience, and hope. Throughout the collection are three children, representing the three Simon siblings whose family would later help build Manila Inasal alongside the Moran family.

Many guests know Ysabel as one of the familiar faces helping welcome people into the restaurant. Fewer realize that her artwork surrounds them while they dine.

For our family, these pieces are more than artwork. They are a visual record of a moment in time—a story about family, perseverance, and the experiences that shaped us.

Today, the collection remains on permanent display at Manila Inasal.

If you find yourself at the restaurant, we invite you to spend a few moments with the work. Every piece reveals another chapter of the story.

What are you ordering first? 🇵🇭👀

Eli is walking through some of the dishes we brought to Carson’s Philippine Independence Day Celebration—many of which you can also find at our restaurant in Silver Lake.

From Chicken Inasal, Beef Tapa to Tocino rice bowls, these are the kinds of dishes and flavors you’ll find throughout the Philippines. The foods many Filipinos grow up with, crave, and come back to whenever they want a taste of home.

At Manila Inasal, Chef Natalia Moran brings her own perspective to these classics—drawing inspiration from tradition while adding touches that have made them favorites with our community here in Los Angeles.

If you missed us in Carson, we’ll save you a seat at the restaurant. ✨

For many Filipinos, kare-kare is a dish that brings people together.

It’s often served during family gatherings, celebrations, and Sunday lunches—not just because it’s delicious, but because it takes time and care to make.

What makes kare-kare special is that the sauce is the star. Rich, nutty, and deeply savory, it’s traditionally paired with bagoong, whose salty punch brings the whole dish to life.

At Manila Inasal, Chef Natalia Moran’s Beef & Oxtail Macadamia Kare-Kare honors that tradition while taking a different path.

Instead of peanuts, our sauce is made with macadamias and almonds, creating a velvety texture and flavor profile that’s uniquely our own while being mindful of common peanut allergies.

Slow-braised beef and oxtail. Seasonal vegetables. Bagoong on the side.

A Filipino classic, reimagined through Chef Nat’s lens.
