To all the mothers today…
To the women who remember the first time they met their baby and felt the entire world rearrange itself in an instant.
To the late-night feedings, the pacing of floors with feverish little ones, the first steps, first words, first bumps and bruises. To sticky fingers, sleepy cuddles, tiny handprints, movie theater firsts, and sandy feet running along the beach.
Motherhood is made of thousands of moments that seem small while we’re living them, yet somehow become the very pieces of our hearts we treasure most.
And no two journeys into motherhood look exactly the same.
Some came to it naturally. Some through IVF. Some through adoption. Some by marriage. Some stepped in during illness, loss, or hardship. Some became mothers while raising siblings, grandchildren, or children they did not give birth to, but loved fiercely all the same.
Every story is different. Every path is worthy.
These little souls change us in immeasurable ways.
My own journey into motherhood was not an easy one, but I would not trade it for all the money in the world.
So today, I raise my coffee cup to every woman who has loved, nurtured, protected, guided, sacrificed, comforted, and shown up day after day.
However motherhood found you, Happy Mother’s Day. You are deeply seen, deeply appreciated, and endlessly loved.
