Over the past few days, Lansing EMS has received some negative attention. As is often the case, headlines don’t always tell the full story.
The event that has been discussed was not simply a gathering at taxpayers’ expense—it was an annual Christmas celebration held to recognize and thank the dedicated volunteers who give countless hours of their time serving our community. These are the individuals who leave their families, jobs, meals, and personal commitments at a moment’s notice to respond when someone is experiencing one of the worst days of their life.
At the Tiki Bar, we want to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for everything our EMS volunteers do to keep our community safe. Their commitment, sacrifice, and willingness to serve do not go unnoticed.
As a small token of our gratitude, we would like to offer a FREE iced coffee or regular coffee and a cinnamon roll to all EMS personnel on Friday, June 19.
