🔥 SMOKE SIGNALS 🔥
Another busy week for us! We made it through first week back from Pumpkin Festival, and luckily we are off this weekend because we are all still recovering from that week. The 4 of us all worked 120 hours in 8 days leading up to the Festival and during the Festival! 😴
Our week back was also busy, Nick, Nicki and I managed to clean and winterize 3 trailers, clean freezers and the van! Jim was cutting and splitting firewood! Huge shout out to the team for holding down the restaurant while we cleaned, and to Linda's husband Robbie for helping us get the trailer moved!
It was a Beautiful end to our week with a AMAZING sunset!
The after Pumpkin Festival dessert, Pumpkin Bread Pudding was a huge hit! Good news is, we will also have some on Tuesday! 🎃

🎃 Reflection Sunday 🎃
As we relax this morning with our coffee, we think about all the hard work that went into last weekend's Festival! 4 days of before sunrise to after sunset. We could not do all of it without our AMAZING team! The 5 in the trailer have a spot and don't move from it for usually a 12 hour line of customers. Yes, Kari and Becky did get breaks! 😉 For Nick, Nicki and I we didn't even get to eat 2 of the 4 days, it is a non stop line! We had a special guest helping us in the trailer this year, our friend since kindergarten, Becky. Who we sure did give a A++ on her ability to do the drink spot! Which was a huge accomplishment for her being that rule 1 is no talking! 🤣 Anyone who knows her, knows how hard that was! 🤣
We had Jim and Luke outside staging the meats, running to the stock trailer and reloading us in the trailer. Linda, Chastity, Drew and Riley running the Lemonade trailer, the Turkey Leg stand and taking pictures of all the happy customers! It is truly a team effort and we like to think a well oiled machine! It is no easy task to prepare for those 4 days AND execute once the Festival begins! Big Thank you to Barbara, all of the Pumpkin Festival board and volunteers for putting on another great Festival. Big Thank you to all of our AMAZING customers who come back each and every year to make it a successful weekend for us. It truly makes the hard work worth while! Last but not least our team who shows up and preforms every year! They have all been with us multiple years at Pumpkin Festival and it shows! We hope to see all of you for Pumpkin Festival 2027! 🎃
