What a nice weekend to say GOODBYE for the season! Come on in tonight and tomorrow night (October 10 and 11) from 6:00-9:00 as we wind down the season here at Pop with these beautiful evenings! Can’t promise we will have everything on our typical menu so get here early for best selection!

Hello Huron! Hours update for this weekend! As we wind down the season to our last few days, please note that we will be open Saturday and Sunday night this week from 6:00-9:00pm, but we will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Question for you! But first… What a beautiful Sunday! Do you see the pictures below, see what’s missing??? … you, yes you! So this is what the store will look like in two weeks… but not tonight, nope, not tonight, let’s try to fill it up tonight!

With only two Sundays left in the season, now is the chance to come in, grab some ice cream for here, some to go, because we will run out sooner than expected. Pumpkin pie ice cream! Lemon Cheesecake! Coffee Lovers ice cream! Amaretto Cherry! Triple Chocolate! Cookie Dough! Praline Pecan! And Strawberry! We are so much more than just your typical ice cream shop!

What a wonderful wrap to the Second Annual Dusting Off Dakota! After starting the afternoon with overcast skies, the sun popped out, a cool breeze lightly blew and festivities reigned! Everything came together nicely! The crowd was fun! The activities awesome! We ended up with over 500 people in our ice cream shop tonight! Hope you had a chance to make it out! Here’s a few shots I managed to take when I could get away from scooping! Do you see any friends in the photos???

Getting things set up and in place for the Second Annual Dusting off Dakota!!! It all happens starting g at 4:00 this afternoon and runs until the band tires near midnight! See you soon here at Pop Huron! We will open our doors at 4:00 also and stay open until at least 9:00 tonight!

Hi folks! Please hang with me here with some quite timely and relevant news (that means please read to the end of this story😁), but first… with only a few weekends left at the ice cream shop this season, today we have some of your favorites - Coffee Lovers ice cream and Lemon Cheesecake among others! Stop by after the football game this afternoon! Better get the last of the season before it’s gone!

So this weekend is special for our community and for downtown - lots of live music, food trucks, games, a parade, and together with High School Homecoming, there is our Dusting Off Dakota event Saturday from 4:00-11-00pm downtown! Remember that tornado back in July?!? Well this event was supposed to be that weekend, which would have been awesome Summer fun, but hey, who can predict a good tornado and 100 mph winds! So I’m asking you now, put tomorrow evening on your calendar so you don’t forget, and please bring the family and come see all of us downtown this Saturday afternoon and evening (tomorrow September 26). Main Street will be closed for auto traffic so bring a pair of good walking shoes and maybe a light jacket. And when you are here strolling Dakota Avenue licking your melting ice cream cone, watching your kids run down the sidewalk, and listening to some great music, just remember this… the FACT that you are a part of a community that has COME TOGETHER and BUILT so much the past few years to create a downtown that proudly represents you, and our community!

At 6:00pm Saturday on the corner of 3rd and Dakota Avenue, Mayor Robish will help take our town to the next level. (See the attached photos for the story from the Plainsman this weekend) With some smart effective marketing and branding, Huron is setting itself up to once again become the hub of rural eastern South Dakota. See you at 6:00 Saturday with an ice cream in hand!
