The Putters and Scoops building is a small establishment built in the 1930's as a Bathhouse. Over the past 80 years, it served as a bathhouse, warming house, and a concession stand. In the past ten years, partnerships between private citizens and the City of Huron Park and Recreation board allowed improvements to be made. On the menu, you can also find sandwiches, salads, smoothies, fresh squeezed lemonade, 1919 tap root beer and more. Happy Wednesday! And what a beautiful day it is to enjoy an ice cold popping boba lemonade 🍋

Our popping boba lemonade flavors are:

Unlike traditional boba, these popping boba are small juice-filled spheres that burst with flavor when bitten… literally popping with flavor 😉

Another beautiful lake day ☀️

First off, we want to thank everyone for all the likes, comments, shares, support and advice regarding our paddle boat situation. We truly appreciate it and are currently working on finding a solution that works best for everyone, we’ll keep you updated once we do. In the meantime, paddle boats and water activities are absolutely still available for rental!

On another note the beach is filling up fast and if you don’t absolutely love the heat, we’ve got cold ice cream and air conditioning waiting inside!!

As busy as we’ve been, and we’re extremely grateful for that, we wanted to make a quick post to go over a few things regarding our water activities and the rules that go with them.

Everyone under 18 must wear a life jacket while using our paddle boats, kayaks or paddle boards. We provide life jackets but we’d really appreciate getting them returned as we are already missing quite a few.

Please remember:
Rentals are for ONE HOUR
NO standing on watercraft.
NO jumping from watercraft.
Please remain on the Putters & Scoops side of the lake. DO NOT go under the highway bridge or near the spillway.
And please LOCK the boats back to the dock when you are finished so they don’t float away.

These rules are posted both inside and outside our shop, and we also go over them before rentals.

👉 The main reason for this post is because we’ve had multiple kids (and even adults) taking boats without renting them. This is unfair to the families actually paying to use them when the boats are gone or damaged when they get down to their rental. Today we had boats taken to the other side of the highway, flipped over, and left in the middle of the water. No life jackets, no rental and extremely unsafe.

Our staff has already had to stop helping customers multiple times this weekend just to go retrieve boats. We want these activities to continue being fun for everyone but when the boats are being stolen and damaged it makes it difficult for us to keep offering them.

Please follow the rules and please talk with your children about respecting the equipment so we can continue offering rentals all summer long. We appreciate everyone who has supported us and respected our area, and especially the people who have helped us with this. Thank you ❤️

Looking for a refreshing drink while taking a walk around the lake or maybe just relaxing on the benches by the water, watching the clouds roll by, catching the sunset and feeling the breeze? ☀️🌊 No matter what you’re doing, you deserve a little treat while soaking in the fresh air!

Here’s some of what we’ll be serving up this summer 🍹🍦

• Original Lemonade
➝ Add any Boba flavor for $2.00 (strawberry, peach, blueberry and mango)
➝ Add any flavoring for just 50¢! (Any flavor listed under our smoothies can be added to lemonade)

• Fruit Smoothies
With 13 different flavors to choose from this year: strawberry, strawberry-banana, wild berry, blueberry pomegranate, mango, peach, pineapple, banana, orange, guava, piña colada, raspberry and cherry. Mix and match flavors to make your perfect combo!

• 1919 Root Beer Floats

• Specialty Malts
Choose any ice cream flavor we have available that day and turn it into a delicious malt!

• Slushies
We’ll be rotating flavors throughout the season including peach mango, cotton candy, blue raspberry, cherry, and grape 🍇
