What a wonderful, beautiful, wild, crazy, silly, hard, and not to mention a totally awesome year! Well, a couple of years if you include the year of renovations and the coffee cart window service. It has evoked every emotion imaginable and has taken us on quite the roller coaster. The best part is the community we have built here, the friends we’ve made, and the positive energy that resonates in this little space. It’s the most rooted we have ever felt. A small town feel in a big city. What a gift!!

From the bottom of our hearts, we are so privileged and honored to have this opportunity to share all of this with you.

We’ll be celebrating our 1 year anniversary this weekend! We have lots of fun activities going on, including music from friends, coffee tastings, raffles sponsored by our favorite roasters, and some fun drink and pastry specials!

We hope this is only the beginning of our beautiful cafe love story. Thank you all for being a part of it. We couldn’t do any of this without your big ole love and support.

This weekend: “Date Frappé’s” are back! 🍦 ☕️

One of our all time favorites here at GBC is the date frappe coffee milkshakes we made the first year we opened. It’s always been a huge hit and last year we didn’t get the chance to serve them. This year we’ll be slinging them all weekend long at the cafe for our 1 year anniversary party. These will not be available at the Farmers Markets but we will still have our pina colada special 🍹💁🏻‍♂️

Date Frappé:
Vegan vanilla ice cream
Organic coffee
Date syrup
Oat milk
House made coconut whip

1 full year 🤯

It’s been one full year since our grand opening and we want to celebrate this huge win with you, our community.

We’ll be hosting coffee tastings with some of our favorite local roasters, Conscious Coffees and Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters ☕️ 👅

There will be live jazz music + a groovy DJ set! 🎺

We will be giving away some awesome merch throughout the weekend for guests hanging out in the cafe thanks to Onyx Coffee Lab 💀

And lastly, there will be some drink and pastry specials to top off the weekend festivities!! 🚌 🍩

Today has been a hard day as a business owner. At 8:30am this morning our power cut out leaving us without the ability to brew coffee or bake pastries. While I was on the phone with Xcel and letting our morning rush of un-caffeinated customers know that we were experiencing difficulties, the meter person came by and tagged the green bus with a $50 street sweeping ticket directly in front of our business. Although I know I have to move our vehicles 3 times this week to avoid the street sweeping tickets they’ve strategically placed at the weirdest part of every month, it slipped my mind at this very chaotic moment.

When I walked out back to check the breaker to see if there was something I could do to help with the power outage, I noticed the garbage truck that morning had hit our dumpsters, causing damage, and trash was now splayed all over the alleyway.

I appreciate all of the people who were patient with us this morning. It was a rough one…

To the City and County of Denver, please do better. Be more ethical to the people that live here. Consider small businesses. Stop waiting at the end of our streets at 7:58am for the parking ticketing to begin at 8am, so that you can nail every person who isn’t quite out of their home yet with a $50 ticket, and then not even have our streets swept. It is truly infuriating.

It’s days like these that make running a business feel absolutely impossible. And in the case of today, all of these things had to do with or are related to the city of Denver.

We are still without power at the cafe, though we are told they will get things back up and running this evening.

More updates to follow, but until then, do better, Denver, Colorado

We got new cups!!! ☕️😆

We were selected to be a part of a sustainability grant here in Denver and we’re just over the moon about it.

Big thanks to Diversion Designers LLC and Denver Climate Project for having us be a part of this program so we could get new cups and reduce our single use cups. And thanks you notNeutral, inc. for making such a sweet mid century retro cup line that totally fits our 70s aesthetic.

We’ve hit peak dalgona season ☀️ ☕️

Our dalgona whipped coffee is made using organic specialty freeze-dried coffee, organic coconut sugar and a whole lotta whippin 🤌

You can grab these at our cafe Wednesday-Sunday 8a-2p, Saturdays and Sundays.

We’ve got really cool things happening over here at Green Bus and Starfish 🤩

The building is getting a makeover and we are so excited for the projects and enhancements happening. We just had the building freshly painted. Next we’ll be getting more color to add our own personal touch!

It’s a carrot cake kind of weekend 🥕🍰

This weekend we’re bring back a fan favorite! We’re getting a little festive and spicing things up with our house made carrot cake latte. Made with organic carrot, warming spices and coconut sugar. It’s topped with a decedent cream cheese whip and sprinkled with toasted coconut. 100% vegan and gluten-free ingredients.

You can also grab some bangin carrot cake from if you’re really feeling wild 😋💁🏼‍♀️
