I met Sam more than seven years ago while we were working together at Cafe de Leche in California. I had no coffee experience, but I did have a huge crush on a girl who was willing to teach me.
Five years ago, on the summer solstice, that same girl told me she loved me as the sun set behind her.
Four years ago, we started Moonflower Coffee as a small coffee cart, hoping to continue doing something we loved together on our own terms.
Three years ago, that little coffee cart found its way into an old gas station.
Just over a year ago, we opened our full brick-and-mortar shop, crossing our fingers and hoping we were making the right decisions for our lives and our business.
And on this summer solstice, we made our vows to each other.
Looking back, itβs impossible not to see how deeply weβve been supported every step of the way. The encouragement of the community, the belief of our business partners, the unwavering love of our families, and the embrace of Denver have changed our lives in ways weβll never fully be able to express. What started as a crush, a shared love of coffee, and a dream has grown into a life beyond anything we could have imagined. We carry so much gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey. Thank you for helping make this life and this love possible.
