Tonight’s the night. Shwayze is taking over the Sweet Flower Stage for his first show at The Commons!

Doors open at 7 PM with DJ Rudedawg kicking things off, followed by Pipe Down at 8 PM and Shwayze at 9:30 PM.

Pre-sale tickets are $20 and available until 5 PM today. After that, tickets will be $25 at the door.

This show is open to all ages. Please leave lawn chairs and blankets at home for this one, and come ready for a full night of Cali reggae, hip-hop, and laid-back West Coast sound. We’ll see you out here tonight. 🤙

We’ve got live music on the Sweet Flower Stage all weekend long, starting tonight with Smokey The Groove at 8 PM. The show is free and open to all ages. Tomorrow, Shwayze takes over with Pipe Down and Stay Positive Sound’s DJ Rudedawg. Doors open at 7 PM, and music starts at 8 PM. This is your last call to grab $20 advance tickets before they go up to $25 at the door. Advance ticket sales end tomorrow at 5 PM. Then Duniya Band wraps up the weekend Sunday from 5–7 PM with another free, all-ages show.

Advance ticket sales end tomorrow at 5 PM. Tickets will still be available at the door tomorrow for $25.

A quick heads-up about a change to our fall lineup at The Commons.

Now that we can show live sports on the LED wall, we’re making room for Monday Night, Thursday Night, and Sunday football. Starting Sunday, September 13th, we’ll open at 10 AM every Sunday for the games, with mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Bloody Beers available. Starting Monday, September 14th, we’ll also open at 3 PM every Monday for MNF.

To make room for Thursday Night Football, biweekly Trivia with Trivia Out Loud will be taking a hiatus after tomorrow night. We don’t have a return date just yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

That means tomorrow is your last chance to play for a while, and there’s more than bragging rights on the line. The winning team will be nominated to represent The Commons in the second annual Chico Cup, the citywide trivia championship featuring teams from Chico’s favorite trivia venues. Last year’s champions, Bidwell Perk, will host this year’s competition on October 13th.

Trivia starts tomorrow at 7:30 PM. Come make this last one count. 🏆

We’re wrapping up the final week of August with a killer lineup at The Commons.

🍻 Wednesday: All-Ages Karaoke at 6 PM
🍻 Thursday: Trivia with Trivia Out Loud at 7:30 PM
🍻 Friday: Smokey the Groove at 8 PM
🍻 Saturday: Shwayze with Pipe Down at 7 PM
🍻 Sunday: Duniya from 5–7 PM

Smokey the Groove returns Friday for a free, all-ages show. On Saturday, doors open at 6 PM before Stay Positive Sound’s DJ Rude Dawg kicks things off at 7 PM, followed by Pipe Down at 8 PM and Shwayze at 9:30 PM. Advance tickets are $20 or $25 at the door. This show is open to all ages.

Duniya closes out the weekend Sunday evening with another free, all-ages show on the Sweet Flower Stage. We’ll see you out here this week. 🤙

The Party People behind the Redding Rodeo’s famous after-party are coming down from Redding for Country DJ Night at The Commons!

DJs Jake Fontana and Jennifer Fontana are taking over the Sweet Flower Stage this Saturday, August 22nd, spinning everything from country classics to the latest YeeDM.

We’ve got another full week ahead at The Commons.

All-Ages Karaoke is back Wednesday at 6 PM. It’s free, kid-friendly, and open to singers of every skill level.

On Friday, Ivy Flats takes the Sweet Flower Stage at 8 PM for a free, all-ages show. Then Country DJ Night returns Saturday with Redding’s hottest DJ couple, DJs Jake and Jenn Easy. Country DJ Night is 18+.

With Butte College classes starting today and Chico State classes starting next Monday, welcome back, students. We’ll see you out here this week. 🤙

Shwayze is making his first appearance on the Sweet Flower Stage Saturday, August 29th!

Known for blending hip hop, alternative, and laid-back California sounds, Shwayze is bringing longtime favorites and newer tracks from Shwaycation to The Commons.

DJ Rude Dawg with Stay Positive Sound will get the night started, followed by special guest Pipe Down with their mix of Cali reggae, indie, and hip hop.

Presale tickets are $20. Tickets at the door are $25.

We’ve got a busy week ahead at The Commons.

On Tuesday, August 11th, our outdoor expansion area will be closed to the public for the Trail Film Festival presented by Bidwell Run Club. Tickets are still available at thecommonschico.com.

All-Ages Karaoke is back Wednesday at 6 PM and continues every Wednesday through the fall. Then Trivia Out Loud returns Thursday from 7–9 PM.

Friday kicks off the weekend with Spark and Cinder on the Sweet Flower Stage at 8 PM.

Saturday is packed with the Butte United Fundraiser from 1–6 PM, followed by live music from Mumblefinger at 8 PM.

Film, karaoke, trivia, fundraising, and two nights of live music. We’ll see you this week at The Commons. 🤙
