Here at Inspiration Kitchens, we train low-income and Chicagoans experiencing homelessness for careers in the foodservice industry in our kitchen. Our graduates go on to work at some of the city’s hottest restaurants and catering companies, giving them the opportunity to exit poverty for good. This past February, Chef Daniel Espinoza of Santo Chorizo & Santa Masa hosted an amazing private dinner alongside our Foodservice Training students—an experience won during the live auction at our 2025 One Inspired Evening. Guests enjoyed a fabulous five-course meal, and our graduates got hands-on experience with a James Beard nominated chef.
