☕️💚 TIPPING IS COMING BACK!
If you’ve visited us over the past few months, you may know that we moved from traditional tipping to a commission-based pay structure for our team. We wanted to try something new, learn from it, and see what worked best for our employees.
After giving it some time, we’ve decided that it’s time to bring tipping back!
And here’s the exciting part: our team will keep their current higher hourly wage as a guaranteed rate, while also having the opportunity to earn additional income through tips.
We also learned that returning to traditional tipping gives our employees access to potential tax benefits available for tipped income, including the new federal deduction for qualified tips.
Starting Monday, 10/5, you’ll once again have the option to tip your Sleepyhead baristas. 💚
As always, tipping is completely optional. But if you’d like to show some extra love to the people making your coffee, your tip will now go directly toward helping them earn even more.
