This is why it’s so important to support your local family owned business. Because WITHOUT YOU THERE IS NO US!!! The struggle is real we change our hours change are menus change our methods. Listen to our customers but yet when you don’t show up and don’t shop or frequently support, we can’t thrive or stay open. When you shop local the money stays here in our community and we give back. We don’t have some corporate franchise or huge financial backing. It’s usually our blood sweat tears and at times every last penny we have just trying to make it Being a small business. Owner is not easy or everyone would be doing it. It can be very hard, stressful, scary, and overwhelming. But at times so rewarding Behind every small family business there is a family that is counting your support not just for them but all their employees and their families. At That Guys BBQ & Grill & That Guys Meats we know exactly what they’re going through. Everyone has been asking us. When are you gonna bring your meat market back and we have and I love it but right now the numbers are barely making sense and having to freeze product or throw it away or donate doesn’t help keep the doors open. And we want to make a difference in our community and bring quality products at a fair price and hopefully be around for a long time. But it takes your support. I know sometimes small businesses might not be the most convenient but again I wear my heart on my sleeve and it’s not just a motto. It’s words I live by I print them on my shirts business cards and everything we do.
WITHOUT YOU THERE IS NO US!!
Please support your small local family business
And help them keep their dreams alive and doors open GOD BLESS ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️And from our family and team Thank you for your continued support
This week will be the final week of the Soup, Salad & Hot Bar at The Excited Goat.
And we’re just going to be pretty straightforward about why.
For four years, we have tried.
We tried subs. We tried salads. We tried a soup and salad bar. We tried a hot bar. We changed menus. We changed pricing. We changed hours. We added things. We took things away. We listened to suggestions and tried a lot of them.
So when this announcement gets comments saying, “You should have changed the hours,” or “You should have tried this instead,” please understand that we probably did.
The numbers have stayed basically flat. There has been no meaningful growth, and at some point continuing to throw time, labor and money at something just because we want it to work stops making sense.
There’s a saying about not starving the engine to feed the expirement. That’s exactly what we’ve been doing.
Our two coffee shops are thriving. That’s where our growth is, and that’s where we need to put our energy.
So we’re giving the hot bar and soup and salad bar one final week:
🍗 Baked Chicken
🍳 Scrambled Eggs
🥣 Biscuits & Gravy
🧀 Cheesy Potatoes
🥣 Soup
🥗 Full Salad Bar
And just to be clear, Baxter isn’t going anywhere, our team isn’t going anywhere, and The Excited Goat certainly isn’t going anywhere.
We’re changing direction.
We’ll be launching a new Grab & Go menu at both locations, putting more focus into our catering service, continuing to grow our coffee shops, and freeing ourselves up to figure out whatever comes next.
Sometimes in business you try something and it works. Sometimes you try something, tweak it, reinvent it, try it again, and eventually have to admit it just isn’t working.
That’s okay.
Thank you to everyone who has supported every version of this over the last four years. We genuinely appreciate it. Who knows what’s next!
