Its Memorial Day Weekend and weve got some pretty full lakes, 2 pools , and a big ol party at the Hut manana, so whether your'e grilling at home, or on a boat, or with a goat or crushing smash burgers at the hut....lets make sure you've got some ice cold Hold Out beerskis on hand, K?

SIX!  Hold Out is turning 6!  Down at the hut we’ve been celebrating all of our anny's with a beer release and party inspired by the traditional and modern anniversary gifts associated with that year.  Year 6 is Iron (traditional) and Candy (modern).  Which is how we got to this here golf-themed soiree planned for this upcoming Sunday.  It’s also how Belgian Candi Sugar ended up in a hoppy, crispy little XPA (that’s Extra Pale Ale for those keeping score at home) named IRON that we’ll be releasing that very same day. Party details as follows:

Let’s start out by saying that anybody dressed in silly-ass golf gear is probably gonna get something for free.  

NOON to 4pm - DJ on the Decks and MC duties 

1245pm - Special tapping of CASK Conditioned IRON XPA dry-hopped with Pink Hops

1pm to 3pm - Mini Mini Golf Tournaments on the hour, with great prizes

1pm to 3pm - complimentary ‘Tee Time’ Egg Salad & Pimento Sandwiches (& you thought they were cheap at the Masters)

All Day activities will include:  IRON XPA on draft and in cans (To Go), open mini golf play (while tournaments are not taking place), golf 'talkies’ on the TVs, dippin’ yer toes in the at ‘the 19th Hole’ (a special links-friendly cocktail bar poolside on the patio ), drinking outta cups, golf claps during the tournies, and plenty of giveaways.  oh yeah. FROZEN John Daly's. That's a boozy Arnie Palmie for those uninitiated.

A couple of our favorite lagers were recently recognized by our industry peers at the annual Texas Craft Brewers Cup, hosted by .

Hesky Czesky, our Czech Dark Lager, received its first ever medal nod with a hard-fought Bronze. I say hard-fought cuz, let's be honest, Texans are making some of the best lager in the country right now, and that Dark Lager category was stacked! Designed by our very own Handsome Czech , Hesky features a blend of malts from our friends that impart rich, yet quaffable notes of fresh baked bread, caramel, and roasted cocoa beans.

Neu! Pils, the second Pilsner to join our lineup back in the day, was awarded its second Gold Medal, in another doozy of a category. A classic German style Pils brewed with a blend of German Lilly & Diamant Hops, Neu! Pils shines with an enticing bouquet of floral berry, melon & spice. 

While we've always been proud of these beers, we've never slept on an opportunity for continuous improvement. Both recipes have seen their share of iterations over the years, with small tweaks and micro adjustments helping to bring them into focus one step at a time. It's recognition such as this that brings an extra smile to our faces at the end of another brewing journey. Now all we gotta do is brew some more! Stay tuned friends.

Okay, now about the beer. As One Dark Lager - 5.8% ABV - This Munich Style Dunkel Lager was brewed with our friends and as part of their As One Collaboration Series, an initiative geared around bringing more BIPOC folks and communities into brewery spaces. This is our second time brewing with this series. The beer itself features a blend of malts chosen for notes of fresh baked biscuits, soft caramel, and subtle roast. Though malt driven, this beer is designed to be immensely drinkable. Most importantly, we're really excited to share it with YALL!

PIN TIME IS NIGH! This time its not just a Festival, its also a beer! It also happens to be pouring from a cask TONIGHT, down at the hut.

For our 3rd installment of the Pinvitational Cask Beer Fest, we teamed up with our co-presenters & for a commemorative Pinvitation Ale to celebrate the brewing traditions that played a formative role in our development as brewers, and eventually inspired us to create this festival.

Brewed with a blend of Pale Ale, Crystal & Honey malts from , and hopped with Whole Cone Crystal & Whole Cone Mt Hood hops from , this Extra Special Beer presents floral citrus, mint & cedar aromas, atop an amber glow of fresh baked bread, almond & honey.

It's our homage to UK brewing history and we're simply chuffed to bits to share it with y'all.

Our celebration of cask-conditioned ales, lagers, and ciders has repeatedly sold out, and with two years of cask-conditioned clout now backing us up, we are expecting the same result this year. Tickets will be a little more streamlined this go round, with a single ticket option opening the doors to 36 beautifully-bubbled bevs, complimentary handheld snacks from The Great British Baking Co (while they last), and endless hours (6, actually) of firkin fun with some of the best breweries in Texas and Sierra Nevada. This weekend we've got a coupla new beverages for yall here at the hut. We're not saying we control the weather, but these babies are pretty spot on for an 80 degree February weekend in the ol' ATX.

DREAMSTATE | Pale Ale | 5.8% abv - collab with featuring their new hop . Alora is known for a distinct aroma profile of peach, apricot, yuzu fruit, and sweet melon. Did we mention the weather?

Next up... BREATHER! Our "hop water", which you may have seen on tap here before. We feel like the term hop water doesnt quite do this thirst quenching, beer adjacent, NA beverage justice though. Ours is chock full of mango, strawberry and pineapple terpenes and tiny bubbles....the perfect compliment to a Sabro kiss. Just the right thing for taking a BREATHER between Pints of Ale and Lager.
