I’m eager to get back open after all of the trailer’s hiccups this month, but this moment is too big and too important. That is, in no way, a critique of independent businesses that are operating today. This isn’t easy for anyone.
Solidarity with beings everywhere facing oppression.
Solidarity with political prisoners targeted by the state.
Solidarity with people incarcerated by the drug war and legal systems that disproportionately affect the poor and people of color.
Solidarity with working folks who constantly live a couple paychecks away from eviction.
Solidarity with those who are deprived the right to make decisions about their own bodies.
Solidarity with LGBTIA+ communities and anyone who doesn’t fit neatly into the narrative of normative binaries.
