June has arrived and with it, the heat and humidity. It can wear you out. But we’ve got just the thing. We all know how wonderful spinach artichoke dip is, but have you ever had it as a fritter? On a burger??

This month is your lucky month. You get both and while you may be saying something like “Eww, spinach”, this is one of those times eating your veggies is gonna pay off immediately.

Presenting the Popeye. If you don’t know who he is, then ask your dad (of granddad.). A seared Jewboy Patty covered in melted provolone sitting on fried onion strings then topped with a spinach artichoke fritter. Finally topped with some house-made lemon mayo. One bite into this bad boy and your strength comes back and the explosion of flavor will hit harder than a jacked up sailor taking on Bluto.

Bring on summer. We’re ready.

Ah, National Burger Day. I’m not sure if it’s Hallmark that’s driving this train, but I appreciate this day of celebration as well as National Cheeseburger Day and National Hamburger Day. Yes, we love burgers so much, we have three days a year to celebrate them.
We’re in the process of building a new website, so we took some new photos. I thought it would be fun to compare where we are today with what the very first Jewboy Burger looked like. Fall of 2016 we fired the truck up for the first time for Parent’s Weekend at the Sammy house. If it wasn’t for , I’m not sure we would have clocked burger number one. But thanks to him, his amazing wife, my amazing wife and of course , my first official employee (note that’s his dad’s IG, I just couldn’t figure out his, so I expect him to let Cam know I recognized his effort on that fated day.) we made it through the day and here we are almost 10 years later.
Burgers are such an amazing way to bring happiness to someone. So huzzah to National Burger day and each and every one of you out there who love burgers!

As if “May the 4th Be With You” wasn’t a great enough day, here we are the very next day celebrating once again. You can make your arguments for the history behind Cinco de Mayo, but there’s no arguing it’s always a good time. In celebration of the good time at hand, we partnered up with the amazing folks at to pay homage to a burger often found on the Border, but specifically in the beautiful town of Monterrey.

Chef Mariha and the guy with the amazing hair cut who hangs out with her Julian brought us more than inspiration, they brought their house-made chipotle mayo and escabeche (if you don’t know what this is, try it and then ask yourself why it’s not on all burgers). We added our refried beans, guacamole and two pieces of grilled smoked ham with a slice of melty Costra cheese between them. And honestly, just because, we added some more melty Pepper Jack right on the patty. Finished with shredded lettuce and griddled onions.

Come try this burger and do yourself a favor, go to La Plancha and get the torta you never knew you needed asap. As General Ignacio Zaragoza, the hero of Cinco de Mayo would say, “¡Vamos a comer, mi gente!”

Warning: Long post, but please try and read to the end.

Social media has always been a little confusing to me. In the beginning, I couldn’t come up with what would be so interesting in my life that was worth blasting out there. Then I started to see how cool it was seeing what old friends were doing and what people looked like. Then came the marketing and as a former Creative Director, I struggled again to see how these conflicting ideologies would occupy the same space.

Then I started making cheeseburgers and I felt like it could be a win/win. People find out about places that they might not have ever heard about, and small businesses could make a better living. Then came the anger and divisiveness. I just don’t get it. So we (Jewboy Burgers) stayed in our lane. I like to post pictures of burgers and things that I see in the restaurant that make me smile. Simple.

This month we are partnering with the Center for Child Protection by not only raising awareness but a little cash by donating a portion of sales from the burger of the month. Today, they asked if they could bring in one of their service dogs to take a picture in front of the restaurant to highlight some of the businesses helping support them. Well, if you’ve been to JBB, you know how we love dogs and it wasn’t even a question. Earlier, I got this photo from them of their guy Mickler.

Can we all just take a moment and appreciate not only the beauty of three things I personally love; dogs, cheeseburgers and children? But can we also make a toast to social media that despite all its flaws and shortcomings, makes a moment like this sharable to everyone who’s willing to pause for a second and read my longwinded caption.

Like everyone else, I feel the stress of life, but for just a moment, when I saw this picture, I was reminded of how awesome life can be. You’re the man Mickler!

It has been brought to my attention many times how poor my time management skills are. You won’t get any argument from me. Take that into consideration as I post this the evening before Easter letting everyone know we’ll be open regular hours. Should the craving for a burger arise between a more traditional fare, we’re here for you. All slider locations will be open at their regular hours as well.

For those who celebrate, have a peaceful and fulfilling Easter and for those keeping kosher for Passover, Matzo Brei makes it all worth it.

Now that April Fool’s Day is behind us, we can announce our burger of the month. We wanted to wait because not only is this a serious burger, but this month, we’re partnering with the Center for Child Protection or . April is National Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Month, dedicated to raising awareness and fostering community action to support families and prevent child maltreatment. A dollar from each burger of the month sold will be donated.
Now let’s get to the burger. Because the theme of the month includes wearing blue, we present Go Blue. A seared Jewboy patty served with melty pepper jack cheese then topped with a blue cheese latke (yes, it’s as delicious as it sounds) dipped in sauce with a little extra butter in there. Finally, the top bun has a blue cream cheese and chive spread. It’s a tangy and savory bite. But most importantly, we take care of our children. As a father, nothing feels worse than even the thought of someone hurting my children. If you’re not into the burger, I highly recommend looking into the amazing work being done by the Center. Spring is here! Let’s get out there and make life amazing for everyone!

03/11/2026

I woke up this morning and it was raining. So, I went back to sleep and when I woke up again, the sun was out and it turns out Spring came back. With Spring comes a crazy month of March here in Austin. Start with SXSW, then Moto GP, Spring Break, etc.

Oh yeah, the other thing growing this Spring is a new trailer. We were told Rainey St was back and we’re here for it. Opening tonight at , we’re moved in and we’re there to stay. So, if you’re out and about, and you should be, and you find yourself needing some meaty cheesy deliciousness, we are at your service. Open late because we all know how much better food tastes after midnight. Amirite?

It’s March and that means our returning champion is back. While we try not to duplicate burgers of the month, we do have a few that make their return regularly and this beauty is our reigning champ. Been with us since year one and still coming in strong.
Behold the Drunk Jewboy. A perfectly seared Angus beef patty topped with house-made bacon jam, more crispy bacon and Guiness beer cheese sauce all on a warm pretzel roll.
There are so many things I could say about this burger, but for this one, I’ll let the picture do the talking.

I was surprised and honored the other day to receive this awesome piece by one of my many friends in the art world here. Jason at is just one of the amazing artists I’ve met since I was able to open the restaurant. It got me to thinking about how fortunate we are to live in a city with so many cool artists. In addition to galleries like , , among others, you can always find killer art on line.

Supporting local art is so important in keeping our culture our culture. I wish I had more wall space. I’m gonna tag as many as I can here, but if I missed you, please let me know and I’ll add. Sure jewelry, candy and flowers are good gifts, but a piece of art is something that stays in your soul. A walk through a gallery can be as romantic as any place.

Sure it’s 6 days into the shortest month of the year. I guess I do have “poor time management skills” after all. But it’s not too late to share the burger of the month with you.

For the month of love, we present “Choose Love.” Mainly because I love to hear people tell me they’re choosing love when they order it, but also because it’s delicious. It starts with a kaiser roll we coat with garlic butter and then grill so you get a garlic knot vibe. Then we top it with a seared Angus patty, a savory house-made red sauce, lots of mozzarella, grilled pepperonis, and a basil mayo. It’s messy, but so is love.

As much as we love feeding people, we care about the safety of our customers and our staff more. We're gonna sit this one out and wait for the sun to come back. Closed today (Sunday) and as we always do, closed on Monday. Come see us Tuesday and bring your appetite. Thank you for understanding. -- Mo

If and only if you feel safe on the roads or on the sidewalks, we just wanted to let you know we’re open today, Saturday the 24th. We’re keeping an eye on Sunday, but for now, our plan is to be here making nice hot cheeseburgers and crispy hot French fries.
Stay warm and safe, but there’s no reason to stay hungry.

Here we are, 2026. I will continue to complain that I don’t have a flying car or a condo on the moon. But I do have burgers, and when we sat down to discuss what the first burger of the month would be, there was talk of something a little healthy. There was also talk of something less than healthy (see last year’s January burger). In the end, it came down to trying new things which has been hard for me the older I get. I’m always a little shy to put very spicy food out there. I feel like you can always add spice, but you can’t take it away for the people like me who struggle with it. The team convinced me that there are enough masochistic folks out there who love burning their taste buds, so in the interest of trying new things, I present the Cherry Bomb.
For those of you know don’t know, the Cherry Bomb we’re talking about here was a firecracker (that is now illegal) used for blowing up toilets in a prank made famous by one of my idols, Keith Moon.
Starting with a toasted jalapeno cheddar sourdough bun with habanero mayo, fresh jalapenos, a perfectly seared 1/3 lb Jewboy patty topped with our Bam Bam relish which includes roasted and chopped habaneros, jalapenos, fresnos, Serranos, garlic, onion, vin, salt, sugar, then plenty of melted pepper jack cheese. Finally, some crispy fried onions because who doesn’t love crispy fried onions?
Happy New Year! Let’s see what ’26 is all about.

Judas Maccabee, nicknamed the Hammer. Soldier. Statesman. Liberator. Defender. The reason we have 8 crazy nights of insanity. Also, a guy I feel would love a good cheeseburger. Well, maybe a hamburger. Happy Hanukkah! May those lights shine on you.

So, it went from 95 to 55 seemingly overnight. As you bring out your winter garb, consider a nice, hot burger as one more way to warm not just your body, but your soul as well.

Presenting “le Dip”. A hybrid of two of our favorite sandwiches. Take a hot seared Jewboy patty covered in melted Provolone and top it with thinly sliced roast beef, caramelized onions and a creamy horseradish sauce, then dip it in piping hot au ju. Yes, dip your burger. It’s December, the month without rules (at least when it comes to eating). Available now for your immediate consumption.

There are so many things to be thankful for. To all of our customers who love cheesy burger happiness and to all of my magnificent team who help bring cheesy burger happiness into the world, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I often joke about Jewboy Burgers being my mid-life crisis, but in fact, I feel as if it’s been my mid-life salvation. Being around so much positive energy and meeting folks from around the world (literally) has made me a true believer in happiness and in our society’s ability to find it. I wish nothing but love, laughs and full bellies for everyone out there. Enjoy the holiday and when you’re over leftovers, you know where to find us. We’re back to regular hours Friday. — mo

Is it too early to start calling this the most wonderful time of the year? Not for us when we get to embrace the cuisine that leads to so many wonderful naps on the sofa.

This year, we present the Gobbler. A taste of all things Thanksgiving. Our November burger of the month starts with a seared Jewboy Angus beef patty topped with melted Havarti cheese, corn bread stuffing pressed and seared on the grill, cranberry bacon jam and of course, brown gravy. All of this on a toasted sourdough bun. With Speedo season behind us, it’s time to embrace the holidays and get it started with a bang.

Maybe not scary to you, but terrifies me. For all who celebrate, happy Halloween!

This is a long overdue thank you to everyone who voted us Best Burger in annual Best of Austin edition for 2025. I’m humbled and grateful for all of the support our amazing city has given over the past 9 years.

Yep, this month it will be 9 years since I opened the food truck on Burnet Road with absolutely no idea what I was doing. There are so many people who helped and proved to me that humans are good at heart. There are more than a few of you out there who know without you, there would be no Jewboy Burgers.

I personally think the word “blessed” is used a little too often these days, but I feel 100% that I am blessed to have each and every one of you reading this in my life and I can only hope that I can continue to live my dreams and experience the happiness that a good burger brings to people.

So thank you. May peace, love and cheeseburgers continue to affect your life the same way it has mine. -- Mo

It’s October and while I’m sure Halloween is top of mind for most people, we think Oktoberfest. With that in mind, we present the burger of the month, The Son of the Drunk Jewboy. (the Drunk Jewboy returns in March)

Starting with onions and kraut braised in Gisela (Marzen) Oktoberfest and a 50/50 blend of ground beef and bratwurst meat formed into a seared patty, we add muenster cheese and smoky brown mustard on a warm pretzel bun. To quote one of my favorite movies, “it’s all happening!
